App permissions
Samsung Trade Up (SG) 1.6 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.
Required to be able to access the camera device.

1 ★ Brightstar collected my handphone on Friday and on Saturday I received an email saying my quote has expired even though my handphone is already with them. Then they revised their quote lower stating that the device was not received within allocated time. Rejected the counter offer now trying to get my phone back from them. Cheater and scammer!
1 ★ Superbly lousy service. Its a scam! They will collect ur phone and spot the flaws and don't tell you the value on the spot. From a $450 trade up quote, reduced to $135 without even getting your approval. Scam!!!
1 ★ THIS IS A STUPID TRADE UP. NEVER EVER TRADE WITH THEM. $340 QUOTE CAN BE REDUCED TO $54?!?!??! I BETTER TAKE MY PHONE BACK AND CHECK WHETHER ALL ORIGINAL PARTS ARE STILL INTACT!!!! $54 CAN'T EVEN BUY ME A SPARE PHONE HONESTLY.

5 ★ Worked as per expected. The collection was convenient as well. Those who have problem will low quote probably need to ensure the tests were done properly or redo them.
5 ★ Because I self-declared a minor scratch on the home button, Brightstar initially quoted me 60% of the value. However after collection and a detailed inspection, I was then given a revised offer to increase the quoted price to the original 100% value! Very impressed at the service provider for being absolutely honest and fair with their appraisal of the phone condition.
1 ★ This app just doesn't work properly. Keep promoting Communication Error when submitting the screenshot test.

1 ★ Completed the full test and got a good trade up value but no email notification after providing bank details. Repeated process and still stuck at the same stage. Waste of time. (and I checked my Junk / Spam inbox too).
1 ★ Seriously? S7 WITH CLOSE TO PERFECT CONDITION FOR ONLY 42 DOLLARS? WHAT KIND OF JOKE IS THIS? I COULD GET A BETTER PRICE WITH TRADING OUTSIDE AND THEN BUYING A NEW PHONE. WHAT DISAPPOINTMENT I HAVE IN YOU SAMSUNG!
1 ★ Completely useless app and hoax for Samsung for trade up value. Perfectly working S7edge valued at $51 vs advertised $340, what a joke. Also the app doesnt allow you to repeat the test, if you get distracted halfway or app doesnt respond well (esp on screen test), it will mark your phone as not functioning. What a mess!
5 ★ It worked quite OK but the support team was responsive! App can be improved as it can be abit slow. However it does managed to go tru all the tests. I did get a full quote for my s7 edge for 340 bucks which was a great deal! Without the box or accessories too.
1 ★ A disappointing and unreliable app that failed to accurately judge my S7 phone. Was quoted a full $280 after I did all the tests. After further inspection, a revised offer came in at $42, with a stated reason given as "obvious signs of screen discoloration", which the app obviously failed to detect. Could have gotten a better trade in offer but it's too late now.
