HZconnect 1.7.1 APK requires following permissions:

2 ★ Since having to switch from my original Notifi app, I have been disappointed. I never had issues with my doorbell disconnecting/having to reinstall with notifi. We live in a rural area and rely on this doorbell cam. This is the second time in a month that HZ has shown that I don' have a doorbell installed...It is frustrating for it to just randomly "forget" my camera and then have to fight with it to reconnect. I'm only giving 2 stars because I find the quality of the video to be good enough.
1 ★ Won't load video, sound won't record the random times a video does load. Freezes often. Will not save some settings.
1 ★ I was so happy with my doorbell camera. This update ruined my doorbell camera, now my door camera has no night vision and with the update my chime wont work because it doesnt let you access the setting as before. Very disappointed. Giving it one star because it's the lowest, else I wouldn't even give one star.
1 ★ Really dissapointing.I've wasted a lot of times setting up the new app. Even went far to configure my wifi settings to accomodate 2.4ghz but no luck. I should have read all the review here before installing the app. Deleted this app and installed the old one in less than 2 minutes. I will return my doorbell back to the store if they disable the old app that works.
2 ★ App does not permit adjustment of motion detection area (previous program did). Even on lowest setting, this results in too many unnecessary notifications. Latest update shows the motion detection zone which can be made smaller, thus eliminating motion detection oitside of the arwa of interest, HOWEVER app does not allow you to save edited configuration. Tech support advised to remove device, then add device back for v1.1.1 but so far no luck.
1 ★ There's just so much wrong with this app Alexa and Google hubs don't show videos of my doorbell the doorbell doesn't start recording until 30 seconds after motion so I don't even see what happened or who walked by my house and I used to be able to select a part of the screen that if something motioned in that little spot it would send me a notification now I get notifications if somebody's walking across the street so I get a hundred notifications a day
1 ★ What a POS company and device! I should have bought a Nest doorbell but instead I went the cheaper $150 route and bought this garbage which has been nothing but a Headache!! Had the product well over a year and the previous app sucked but at least it would store your video in the cloud!! They now force you to pay subscribe to a service to store your videos(Which does not fkn work) the notifications do not work, the camera does not detect movement, doorbell pushes and does not auto record for you
1 ★ Ringing of door bell does not send a notification turning it into a sound only doorbell. Also you can not set the activity area for motion sensing. I have a shade screen and the slightest breeze sets off an alert. I was able to prevent this with the previous app. Also, now my phone identifies HZCONNECT as a battery draining app. The previous app was not.
1 ★ It took me probably 10 tries over 2 days to get my Notifi Elite to connect to the new app. And I found there is no way to set a motion detection zone. I have had 109 motion alerts from 12-9:48am today on the lowest sensitivity level. Mostly stagnant video easily mistaken as a still shot. I will likely look into another brand due to this highly annoying update. I want to know if a person is approaching the door, not that a leaf on my neighbor's tree fluttered or a windchime gently turns.
1 ★ Every since they updated (stripped) the original app from Notifi to HZconnect, I have had nothing but problems. I no longer get video (now you have to pay extra for it), the InfaRed stopped working and my Icon dissappered. It no longer is useful as security tool. It is basially just a camera now as nothing else works!
5 ★ Once you read the instructions & either separate your network names or just temporarily disable the 5GHz band setup is super easy. Just takes some tech understanding I guess? And this app has had soooo many updates & improvements since i got it already, they're obviously working on it constantly, way more interaction than the old app had!
1 ★ VERY difficult/frustrating & time consuming to set up. Even set @ "low" sensitivity, getting 20+ motion alarms per day which show only a picture of my front yard! This is NOT acceptable & a real disappointment for "upgraded" system. Give me back the original Notifi system!!
4 ★ It gets the job done. Simple interface and picks up decent quality and wide range of my front yard. The only issues are I had to close/reopen the app a few times to get things to load and I get notifications when cars pass by sometimes. Overall though its good for what I paid for and really don't understand all the negative reviews because its clear the developers tried to make things right by rehauling with this new app.
1 ★ App was good, now I have a big white circle in the top corner and can't get it to go away and I can't use any of the options with the circle there.
2 ★ It's very cumbersome trying to find the doorbell notifications and the view button on the image is misleading where you think it's going to take you to the image for more details instead its starts recording a live feed. Old app better in that sense. The camera is pretty much useless now unless you get subscription
