The HONK Partner app is available for towing and roadside dispatchers and operators. If you are a motorist and in need of towing or roadside - Get our customer app.
❖ I’M A TOW TRUCK OPERATOR. HOW DO I GET STARTED?
You’ll need to sign up to become a towing and roadside Partner at joinHONK.com first. Once you sign up we will walk you through the steps on how to download the app and add other operators so that you can start taking jobs with HONK.
❖ EARN ON YOUR OWN SCHEDULE

HONK Partner 4.4.6 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to modify global audio settings.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows access to the vibrator.

1 ★ When it alerts for a job it needs a snooze button. Reason being is that there are other jobs being completed and it distract you
1 ★ Alerts me to jobs even when I'm logged out, forcing me to disable notifications.
1 ★ The app doesn't always send push notifications when a job is available. Update: the app NEVER sends push notifications. I'll check it every so often and it'll show I missed 4 jobs. But it has no problem whatsoever notifying me of missing $400 dollars in revenue. It's better to not be a contracted provider and get my own rates at this point.
3 ★ The app seems to progressively get better over time. Most of the bugs have been resolved. I'm not happy that they made it nearly impossible to call customer service to resolve an immediate issue rather than using a web site. I'd also love it if there was a way to silence the honking notification using a volume button or something rather than having to pull out my phone, unlock the screen and cancel the notification. Sometimes opening the app doesn't even stop the honking.
2 ★ Lately since last update seems like the app is not messing up. I've been sent like 2 screenshots saying we know your busy and about here's summary of lost revenue I'm like I've never gotten a message at all ! In fact, i've been withbmy buddy sometimes AT the same location and his phone will go off and not mine BOTH have location on at all times . Shaking my head. I hope this gets resolved, I've spoken to a guy named Leonard who keeps sending me to their website to watch videos NOT helping
2 ★ I never get push notifications even when I'm holding my phone in my hand just they keep send me missed revenue since last update the app need more work to improve how it work
1 ★ App does not alert me. Get an occasional automated call and after I answer all the questions it asks, job is always gone to another provider

1 ★ Some calls are good but other ones they exspect us to drive 60 miles for little pay
4 ★ Now that my job notifications has been fixed (had to uninstall and reinstall) I like the app for the most part. It would be nice if when the scope of service changes (i.e. a tire change to a tow) instead of changing it on the SP app a new job is created especially for those who just do roadside and can't perform a tow. By changing it, it shows up as the new service and you have to call support to cancel it because you attempted the initial request already.
3 ★ With the update the app no longer makes audible alerts on android. Results in many, many missed bids. Even worse, even while literally holding your phone in your hand and clicking 'bid now' within less than a half a second of receiving a silent alert (seriously) and getting 'job not awarded' because it's already gone is beyond infuriating. I've been a partner since 2017. Really not very happy with the app in the current form.
1 ★ Never alerts you about jobs. I'm constantly opening up the app to see all the jobs I wasn't awarded and never alerted about. When I do get alerted I rush through the accept terms just to have the job awarded to someone else. In the last two weeks I haven't been able to get a single job through this app regardless of checking and refreshing it every 10 minutes. Seriously, what's the point
3 ★ Edited for new version. Much better. Just need to tell your developers to check vehicle type from that vehicle type setting page to filter jobs so you don't send tow and winch jobs to smaller vehicles that aren't equipped for it. It can get ridiculously frustrating and distracting to constantly be checking notifications that aren't even something you can bid on. Also need to cover fuel costs on fuel deliveries. I like the new +time options. Repair those few things and you'll get 5 stars. Better.
