App permissions

HiVivo for ASUS VivoWatch 5.6.32 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to receive SMS messages.

Allows an application to read SMS messages.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows an application to clear the caches of all installed applications on the device.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

3 ★ when will we have a new update?

1 ★ I've been using vivowatch for last four years. Recently updated version(new design) has some issues. It keeps logging out and getting unpaired. Also after 1hour of exercise it stops counting, and exercise data completely erased or not saved. Please fix them.

1 ★ This app still retrieves data from the watch at a rate of 100bytes/s which takes forever. Pathetic.

1 ★ Latest version adds a feature called De-stress Level. Better name is "kill battery life." Turned it on and what had been consistently 1 week between charges became not even 1 day. Turned it off and the watch is now back to 1 week of battery life. This on top of the low value of the feature in the first place makes me wonder why this got released. At least it's simple to turn off. Future enhancements to the watch firmware to reduce crashes (still about 2x/month) and improve sync performance (phone app crashes during almost every sync) would be more helpful. Adding calendar events to the notifications option would be a huge help.

3 ★ This whole app needs to be re-designed. It isn't user-friendly and the app is buggy at times. An Asus fan with Asus Zenfone Zoom and an Asus Vivowatch.. Hope the Asus team can work on the app and provide services for the watch.

2 ★ Pairing using Bluetooth is rediculously difficult

2 ★ Like the watch, but the app really need lots of work. Most of the time will hang upon launch. Am using Motorola Z Play.

2 ★ Love the Vivo Watch, but for goodness sake Asus, upgrade the app so that it doesn't constantly lose connection or something. Sort it out now, as i have to Uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to pair again. That's unacceptable.

1 ★ Have never really got it right, metrics have varied wildly as the software has changed on the phone. Neither has the app ever displayed exercise time to the second, so if no use the reasonably enthusiastic fitness people.

3 ★ The app crashes all the time causing the watch to lose connection, but other than that, all is good. Out of all of the fitness watches that I have tried so far, the Vivowatch is by far my favorite. It is quite simplistic in its execution, but that is one of its strengths. The few things that it does, it does flawlessly. Like great battery life, solid tracking, and third party notifications. There is a great foundation here that can be used to make this product perfect. In future updates I would like to see some of the following: - resting heart rate tracking - notifications to be stored on the watch to scroll through - Bluetooth music controls - Bluetooth disconnection warning - descriptions of the icons in the app - more detailed sleep tracking; REM, deep, light, awake - exercise mode being a menu to select different exercises - support for multiple types of exercises; swimming, cycling, weight lifting, etc. - smart coaching - training plans - custom watch faces - manually adding workouts from the app - preset message responses - connecting with friends - activity achievements - reading full messages on the watch - manually adding sleep from the app - a find my phone feature I look froward to the great improvements to come. :)
