Description
This app is a companion to the book “The Marriage App: Unlocking the Irony of Intimacy." The book and the app can be used together or independently.
Drs. Paul and Virginia Friesen, founders of Home Improvement Ministries, have a passion for encouraging couples to find the joy and satisfaction that God designed for couples to experience in marriage. They each have a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Paul and Virginia have three adult daughters and two sons-in-law, and are very proud grandparents. In addition to their ministry of speaking, writing, and counseling, they have ongoing relationships with various professional sports teams. They are authors of ten books and four DVD series focusing on marriage relationships and parenting.

4 ★ This is more of a therapeutic app because it really calmed me down and it still does. Very soothing and very helpful. So far it has been the only thing that calms me down when my husband and I get on the wrong note
1 ★ It will not let me open any of the things without my husband's email and phone number. Fix it and I'll give you 5 stars. I wouldn't give 1 star if I could cause I can't even use the app. If not fixed soon, I'm uninstalling app.
5 ★ I really enjoy this app. It uses your names and really makes you think and reflect on the happy, better times in your marriage. It helps you to remember why you feel in love and helps to bring those emotions and memories back. Yes, the texting is glitchy. Sometimes your message doesn't go through so I've just started sending him the texts through regular messaging. I wouldn't get rid of the app just bc of that. I don't know why people are upset about entering your spouses name and number. It only uses your spouse's name to personalize the daily reflection and it only uses their email if you choose to send a text or not. You don't ever have to. It only gives you suggestions of things to text your spouse that help bring the communication back to those who need that. If you want to use this app alone without your spouse you can. It will still help!
3 ★ So far I love the idea but I wrote my husband a beautiful text through the app as it suggested and it was never sent. So I will resend it independantly but I am dissapointed as we all know how hard it is to remember everything you meant to say. Dissappinting.
5 ★ I like the thought put into this app. There is so much to key in on. This app is really beneficial to anyone trying to improve their marriage. And the demand for spousal involvement with this app is really awesome, since most of the time, they are unwilling to seek the help they really need to work through their problems. This app provides a positive vibe to guidance in marriage.
4 ★ Really enjoyed this app. Good questions to make you think and to ask your spouse to start great conversations. Only draw back was the app itself was finicky and sometimes wouldn't advance to the next day.
2 ★ To start off you have to give your spouse's information. I wasn't keen on that, but I did. Secondly when it stated to send him a message, I did but the message did not go to him. Idk what is really up with this app. Mixed emotions on it.
5 ★ This app is awesome for tackling the little things that get overlooked. When the little problems are unattended, they turn into big problems. I also LOVE the accompanying scriptures. Simple yet powerful app. Thank you 😊
2 ★ If I'm the one to call or text my husband, making entry mandatory to access the content of the app is preposterous to begin with. Then telling me to "correct" the perfectly correct phone number (I assume because it is not a US phone number) and not accepting what I entered is just sloppy programming. Unusable.
2 ★ Good app, but hard to get the new days to come up on app. Have to go back and forth several times and most of the time can't get the new day.
4 ★ This app seems to be applicable for marriages in many stages of life. Whether you are newlywed, married and struggling, or living happily, this app gives application that will encourage godly principles to married life. The only issue I am experiencing is that my spouse is not receiving the texts or emails I send when using the app. Could someone please fix this? I am having to copy and paste to follow through with the exercises that are encouraged at the end of each daily application.
5 ★ I know the principles of showing (Chridtian) love, not just feeling love/d. This app does a great job of helping you think about specific things and ways to appreciate and actively love your spouse.
5 ★ My wife and I each read along every day and discussed our findings at night. It definitely hit some key issues. I highly recommend as an individual or couple.
