App permissions

Hurricane Tracker 4.2 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

1 ★ Not only is this app not up to date, it is putting people's lives in danger and should either be updated regularly or removed. Many of the maps are out of date and show no watches, no warnings, and no storms, all the while one of the most dangerous Atlantic hurricanes bear down on some of the most vulnerable communities in the western hemisphere. People are depending on you for lifesaving information and it is your duty not to lead them astray. It is up to the developers to fix these issues or remove the application from the store, or Google should remove it for them. Otherwise there will be blood on both Google's, and the developers hands.

1 ★ The Carribean radar shows no hurricane and level 0 threat. Pretty useless, just screenshots of other radars that are outdated.

1 ★ Under a Cat. 5 Hurricane Irma and the meter had 0 threat. Now it loads and nothing ever come out.

1 ★ My county is currently in a hurricane warning and this app says there are no current threats. Worthless!

1 ★ Do NOT GET THIS APP. I am in the middle of Hurricane Irma. 70+ mph winds. And the threat level on this app says 0. What a load of trash

1 ★ Sept.9, 2017. Just downloaded this app to easily keep up with Irma. Not one satalite vew shows Irma. It says no threat when we actually have 3 threats. Would be a great app if it were accurate.

1 ★ Has major performance issues. I am currently under a hurricane warning but this app says no hurricane warning or watches for my area.

2 ★ This app use to be great for seeing current info and the models. Don't know what happened to it, but it isn't worth my time or space now.

2 ★ I amusing this app on Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and although I live in Florida, it shows "0" Threat Meter and "No hurricane threat." Somebody using the app on the iphone shows a level 4 threat.

5 ★ Hurricanes are unpredictable cyclones. So, I will have to see what conclusions we can conclude, as we all fall under Irma's demise.
