Description

Bluetooth scales
openScale has built-in support for a number of Bluetooth (BLE or "smart") scales from many manufacturers, e.g. Beurer, Sanitas, Yunmai, Xiaomi, etc. (see model list below). Together with our users we constantly improve and extend the set of supported scales and in many cases pick up where the original app falls short.
For scales without Bluetooth, or Bluetooth scales not (yet) supported by openScale, measurements can be manually entered in a quick and easy way.
Privacy
This app has no ads and requests no unnecessary permissions. The location permission is only needed to find a Bluetooth scale. Once found the permission can be revoked (or never granted if Bluetooth isn't used).
Supported metrics
Weight, BMI (body mass index), body water, muscle, LBM (lean body mass), body fat, bone mass, waist circumference, waist-to-height ratio, hip circumference, waist-hip ratio, visceral fat, chest circumference, thigh circumference, biceps circumference, neck circumference, body fat caliper, BMR (basal metabolic rate), TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and Calories. Each entry can also have an optional comment.
Note: don't worry if you think the list is too long: metrics you don't use can be disabled and hidden.

- Displays all your data on a chart and in a table to track your progress
- Evaluates measurements and gives a quick visual feedback to show you if you're within or outside the recommended range given your age, sex, height etc.

- Supports body fat, body water and lean body mass estimations based on scientific publications. Useful if your scale doesn't support those measurements.

5 ★ I almost return a Megil scale because I asked for many permissions and the legal terms were under Chinese Law. This app was fully compatible and didn't ask for creating a new user, etc

5 ★ Great, easy to use and looks good, easy to see the data in graphs etc. So much better than the crappy New iWellness app that I'm supposed to use with my Diki scale. Except after working perfectly first time now it connects but doesn't seem to receive any data. I have tried restarting my phone but no luck. 5 stars once I can get that fixed. Edit: It's randomly started working again!
5 ★ I (and many other people) had a lot of troubles with the 'health for you' app and was searching for alternatives. This app didn't only solve all the problems but is also more extensive. Most importantly it didn't fail once since downloading! 10 stars!
5 ★ Amazing app! Only issue i'm having is that it doesn't record lean body mass. I am using a zenith smart scale.

4 ★ Sometimes requires a restart to get data...But, it's free and doesn't require login into a server. With so many companies going put of business and making their product worthless. A huge plus.
2 ★ Only shows BMI and weight. Everything else shows as 0%. What am i doing wrong? Bluetooth connects fine to my Aquarius scales and app works slightly better than KeepFit app which was useless. But still missing all other parameters!
4 ★ Huge improvement on Sanitas official app — how Sanitas have an app with flakier connection than a 3rd party is beyond me. Only issue is setting up a user with this app is also somewhat flaky. Seems to require very specific order of operations — resetting the scales alone did not add the user added on the app to the scales.
3 ★ Not very happy with it but at least it works with muy scales because the original app doesn't. Recently the bluetooth connection worsend. It downloads only current data and only if I am weighing myself at the same moment. Several weeks ago it was dowloading any undowloaded data at any moment. I also don't like the graphs scaling.
