There are two methods for composition:
- manual - you select notes and chords
- automatic - using the AUTO COMPOSER that chooses "right" notes and chords for you.
You can adjust the AUTO COMPOSER settings in app settings.
Melody Engineer Lite features:
- auto compose new melody and harmony
- auto compose new melody over existing harmony
- auto compose melody with predefined rhythm over existing harmony
- auto compose selected notes from existing melody
- manually change notes in melody

3 ★ For very beginner musicians strapped to major triads , no options for jazz or advanced, virtually nothing for any music outside northwestern Europe or USA. Good for people wanting to jam to Mary Had a Little Lamb or Bingo Was His Name - O. Unfortunately even the paid version leaves out many of the necessary chords I use often, most of which include 5sus2, min7sus2, min7add9, sus2add9, sus2, min11, min13, 11, 13, and add9, much more if the sus 4 etc
5 ★ Excellent app. Lots of options, good example of professional programming. And the technical support is just brilliant!
5 ★ The best melody generator.....please add the "surprise me" button on the paid version.
1 ★ It doesn't have any save/export option, so don't waste your time with it.
