1. Early availability of direct deposit depends on timing of payor's payment instructions and fraud prevention restrictions may apply. As such, the availability or timing of early direct deposit may vary from pay period to pay period.
2. Up to $75 per year. Subject to eligibility. Redeem rewards upon each anniversary of opening the account, using our website or app. See Deposit Account Agreement for details.
3. Activated, personalized card required. Other fees apply to the additional account. Family members age 13 years and over are eligible.
4. Opt-in required. Account must be in good standing and chip-enabled debit card activated to opt-in. Initial and ongoing eligible direct deposits are required for overdraft coverage. Additional criteria may apply which can affect your eligibility and your overdraft coverage. Overdrafts are paid at our discretion. Overdraft fees may cause your account to be overdrawn by an amount that is greater than your overdraft coverage. A $15 fee may apply to each eligible purchase transaction that brings your account negative. Balance must be brought to at least $0 within 24 hours of authorization of the first transaction that overdraws your account to avoid a fee. Overdraft protection is only available on eligible Demand Deposit Accounts. Log into your account and refer to your Account Agreement to check feature availability.
5. Monthly fee waived when you direct deposit $500+ in the previous monthly period. Otherwise, $5.94 a month.
6. Interest is paid annually on each enrollment anniversary based on the average daily balance of the prior 365 days, up to a maximum average daily balance of $1,000, if the account is in good standing and has a positive balance. 2.00% Annual Percentage Yield may change at any time before or after account is opened. Annual Percentage Yield is accurate as of 3/1/2022.

1 ★ I no longer receive notifications about my account. When I try to access my notifications settings in the app, there is nothing there. The notifications page is blank. No notification choices. Nothing. Update June 21, 2021: Notifications are still non-existent in regards to my account activity. If this isn't fixed soon, I will switch to another bank that actually cares about it's customers.
1 ★ It wouldn't accept the address I provided to be updated, apparently living somewhere rural excludes you from having a Wal Mart accepted address. On top of that the three times I called to update and amend the address situation they hung up on me EVERY time I requested to speak with a supervisor. I'm never using them again after I close this account. All the money I have is held by them and they won't release my funds until I get a new card, but they won't send it to the address im providing.
5 ★ I cant say enough about this app. I love the fact that as soon as any money is deducted from my account for any reason, I immediately recieve a notification on my phone. It's almost instantaneous. If you've ever had a hard time balancing a check book, you need not worry ever again. This app is like carrying around your own personal accountant in your pocket. And finally this app offers a feature that allows easy account to account transactions instantly. It's simply the BEST!!!
3 ★ I have had the account with Walmart for 10 years but lately they have been messing up I notice transactions that was mines they were showing pending I call so that they wouldn't go through and I was told I had to wait until they went through and then call back which was a joke just to be told I would have to wait 3 weeks to get the money back and I would have to get a new debit card. There customer service reps kept passing transferring and hung up on me a couple of times
2 ★ It's fine for what it is. You really are just better off having a bank account. REALLY don't appreciate the rep telling us we were getting a replacement card within 3 days, and then having it turn out to be ELEVEN DAYS. Really terrible customer service. If shipping for an ENVELOPE takes that long, then Walmart+ is looking like a failure ALREADY just based on the ORDINARY MAILING OF A STANDARD LETTER SIZED ENVELOPE. Didn't even print the card until 5 days after the call, when it was requested.
4 ★ Good. I have never had any issues with the Green Dot cards. It acts like a traditional bank account. You can even order checks. The only issue I had is when I try to connect my account to an investment app it won't work because it's prepaid.
1 ★ Definitely NOT worth the effort – The app needs some work, and trying to get the username and password could not be completed. I logged in to the Walmart website without a single glitch.
2 ★ It updated but when it did, I lost a bunch of recent logged transactions that I needed. I needed those for cancelation and refund and now I am screwed. Other than that, I do not see any differences or improvements. What was this needed for? Where is the update?? May be time to cancel my card. Ive had it over 10 years.
3 ★ Everything about this APP was great until I upgraded to the last version. For some reason I sign in, select Notifications and it brings up a blank screen. Only thing appear is it telling me to select the ways i want to be notified. There is nothing there. I have put several tickets in letting them know my problem. They answer me by telling to do this like delete app then download again. One svc person acted like i was crazy by the tone of her voice. Then they tell me to contact 800# what a joke
4 ★ I have been banking with Walmart for a little over a year now. I got really comfortable with the system and how it operates. Its easy to use and especially since I am a Walmart fan, the cash back is incredible. There is a tiny set back. You can ONLY send to other Walmart card members. That doesn't make sense to me, so if someone could explain that part to me that'd be great! It's why I gave them for stars and not five.
5 ★ Have used this app for a while now. Have not had any issue until today. I received a significant dd earlier and suddenly i cant access my funds. The app says i need to update it in the google playstore but my app is currently up to date as of february 2021 and no new update is available. The issue has not been addressed yet and i have bills to pay today so it is very frustrating.
1 ★ The worst customer service I've ever experienced before in my life. Nobody seems to know what they're doing. I talk to 5 different agents, was on hold for over 40 minutes. All I was trying to do is set up automatic bill pay with my car insurance. And if you go to their website they say that you can have access to that. But when you go to the app there's no option in the settings for it. I go to Walmart all the time. The convenience of just adding money at the register would've great SMH!!!
2 ★ [Update to 2 star: after the recent update I've found out they've made it so if you're using a VPN service like expressvpn,nord or etc then you get punished with an infinite loading screen. This is a toxic business trend. Other bank apps have been doing the same. I'd rather not get spied on while I'm banking.] Old review: I've been using this app for years but for an entire month I've been having problems with this app that include infinite loading unless I go into a web browser.
1 ★ Green Dot and Walmart Money card are both known for wording things to sound better than they are and even go as far as making false statements to convince you to purchase their product. Very misleading. My husband was sent money from Green Dot customer and it said the way to get it was to purchase a card. We spent $27 to get the card only to be told had to wait until we received the permanent one to transfer the money which made buying the card a waste of money.
1 ★ So I waited for 2 weeks to get the card in the mail. Then when I opened the app to activate the card, it said enter the card number. There is no card number. The card I received is blank. No "MasterCard", no number or expiration date, no name, no CVR # nothing.
