1 ★ Wasn't great before and was laggy all the time, but now it really sucks. When I try to create a story clip it keeps telling me I'm using premium functions (when I'm not. I'm only using trim). And then it says try again after removing premium functions, but there's no way to tell me what premium functions I'm supposedly using? So how do I know what to remove?
1 ★ Worthless garbage, does not work with HERO 8 Black on Galaxy S10. Just opened the device and went through the initial setup steps on the device screen, then asks to download the GoPro app from the App store. Followed the on screen mobile app instructions and asked for which GoPro, selected HERO8 Black, click continue but after several attempts it always FAILS. Such a basic concept, connect and pair devices together and it can't even do it. Bluetooth and wifi were on. Deleted app immediately.
2 ★ Went through support. Sent a picture as asked. They disconnected. Support site says open yet it says everyone is busy and I can't get in line... Just everyone is busy and clicking the button does nothing. Tried restarting my phone. You would think their IT department would be excellent... I am dissapointed. I assume it will be until tomorrow until I might get usefully help..
2 ★ takes so many steps to get the camera footage out of GoPro's walled garden. pair the camera to phone. then sift through and manually select your recent footage. then transfer. can't do anything else when transfer in progress. then footage is locked inside the app! transfer again. can't leave app again. (and icons don't make sense. need text labels). finally then you have the footage in media gallery. then manually delete from app. then manually delete from camera.
3 ★ Edit 4: after much frustration for months and multiple devices I seem to have found the root of my issues. Bluetooth connection would work on both Android and iOS devices but would always fail on the wifi connection. I was always keeping the device name the same thro all this and when I let the app update the name of the device, voila! It worked. It seems it was trying to connect to an old version of the wifi connection of the camera via it's name. What a stupid bug.
1 ★ This app is horrible. I've been a gopro user for years, and since they changed to quik and want to charge 50 bucks annually to use an app for hardware I bought... thumbs down. No option to change the default location to copy videos to my phones external SD card is ridiculous. Last gopro camera I'll ever buy. As a skydiver I've stuck by this company from the get go. Replaced my gopro hero 4 plus as camera wouldn't boot (red light of death known issue) only to get a gopro HD8 with this app? Done!
1 ★ I really loved the old app so I bought the subscription for this one without even trying it first and seriously I'm disappointed. They've added all these new features for adjusting temp, exposure, etc. which is great but the BASIC FEATURE OF SPLITTING THE VIDEO IS MISSING! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT????? I was really excited to use this app but seriously this is not what I expected, wastage of money.
2 ★ I don't use this, and I don't use camera UI either (yes the touch screen simply doesn't work!!). I only record with the button. I copy files manually to keep timestamps, as there's NO more software. Nothing!! Update offered via notification and then: nothing new. Oh yes, I will need to use SD card to upgrade.. everything is so backwards and hard manual work with GoPro.
1 ★ App is completly useless. Crashes anytime I try to play video. Crashes just from clicking video and not even clicking play. App refuses to connect to my gopro. And yes I manually added gopro via wifi. One thing I havent seen mentioned is the gopro wifi is hidden network so on android I have to go in the settings and allow hidden network everytime. I can get app to find gopro by adding camera but after that it will not connect to it again.
1 ★ Literally the least usable and least user friendly app I've ever had the displeasure of being forced to use after buying an action camera. It could not possibly be built into any more of a garbage maze than it already is, and that's after you wait years of your life every time you open the app for it to connect to the camera. The most heartfelt 1 star I've ever given. You guys earned it. I pray for the people who pay for the premium...
3 ★ as always, and as with other apps, just when you give a low rating review, suddenly the app works fine. and it works when I'm on mobile data and not on my wifi eating up on my data. had to download the video from cloud to app, re-edit and reframe the whole 6 minute video, then try to render numerous times, and finally save from app to phone 🤦♂️
1 ★ 6 months after purchasing and the new version of the app called quik it's just as worthless. It's junk! Connection issues. Opening app default page is trying to shove a subscription down your throat. Updated to the latest firmware and latest app. Cameras found every time. If you try to download your media it fails every time. Probably because they want you to pay monthly to have a cloud. Camera seems great, the app disgusts me.
1 ★ This is completely terrible. I don't want a "mural" and "events" or whatever your marketing department thought was cute. Simple tools are either unavailable in the free version or the dumpster fire UX is hiding them. For a premium product, you should be ashamed.
1 ★ This once was a 4.5 star app.. (no app is perfect but could have been a 5) they ungraded and made us use a new app. I can't do anything with the free version.. it's trash.. so I tried to pay for yearly. Soon as I signed up it was an error telling me to contact GoPro. Changed my PayPal to my debit..same error. This "new" app gets 1 star from me because I can't even use it. How to you kick us off a working app and basically force us (gives us the option) to pay for a service/app that doesn't work
1 ★ Unable to connect my camera to the app. In some cases it finds the camera and seems to pair and when I enter a new name and password to my camera, I get a general error stating that WiFi pairing failed. Other cases the app just doesn't find my camera. Although I made a reset to camera's WiFi and cleared all data on app. Would be good to get some more specific error messages why the app is not connecting to camera.
