Description
This application is a direct port of Samba client which can be found at https://samba.org. As such, it supports the entire feature supported by Samba client.
This application is open-sourced under the GNU General Public License. The full source can be found at https://github.com/google/samba-documents-provider.

3 ★ Clunky buts works with smb:// prefix and a /folder suffix. Otherwise "Failed to mount share." Or "share path is incorrectly formatted."
4 ★ App was updated to support SMBv3! Functionality is pretty basic but it works. Would like an option to unmount shares.
3 ★ Three stars... Needs unmount option and the ability to stream files from share, IE videos or music.
3 ★ It does what it says on the tin. Not sure how you unmount a connection once set up. It basically works OK but other apps, eg Solid File Explorer, do not seem to pick it up as part of the local file system.
3 ★ The mounting has to hand write down the address, and it only appears in the Downloads app with so limited functions. Please add discovery and mounting as folder in the OS.
1 ★ i have an openvpn connection to my router, which has connected a hdd via usb. in solid explorer i can see the smb share, navigate, edit it, etc. with this app i cannot mount it no matter what. tried both smb://192.168.87.1/hdd and \\192.168.87.1\hdd and password. nothing works.
3 ★ Doesn't appear to support MDNS either which Windows, Mac and Linux use for name resolution in home networks.

3 ★ Doesn't show mount list after mounting. Audio files on resulting browser cannot be played on Google apps. Need this for ChromeCasts

1 ★ Can't see mounted paths in Download folder. It's empty.
2 ★ It... works, I guess? As far as I can tell it doesn't actually mount a share to the file system. Also it's missing the features of editing and un-"mounting" shares. Once you connect to a share it just stays in the list forever.
1 ★ This app only 'mounts' samba for google apps, where a proprietary file manager (eg samsung) is installed there is no mount in the Linux sense
3 ★ + Supports SMB3 - Can't unmount Share - Can't play Videos from it
5 ★ App Needs an unmount. Works as advertised. Should have option to mount to actual filesystem to allow more apps use of this.
