5 ★ I have a lot of issues with this app. I have lost some of my saved data and it doesn't update real time. I need to continue to close it and bring it back up. Didn't work while I was out on my hunt and thankfully I had some backup maps. Go hunt, you have a lot of work to do on this app before I will use it for my Backcountry use. Not reliable. ********Latest update - all it took to resolve my issue was updating to the latest version of the app and all is working flawlessly now. Thanks Bransen!
4 ★ Really good mapping app that covers all the bases but still could be improved. The web version is awesome however on the mobile version I would like to see a feature where you could resize or potentially draw the area that you want to download. The small square outline results in a really messy map when you want to download large areas and many overlapping downloads. Additionally I am frustrated that you have to download the map with the layers you want. I wish they would be added automatically
2 ★ Pretty disappointed. Hunting partner and I both used OnX but wanted to give the competition a try for a lower price. Offline maps quality always looked good in service, but once out, it degraded severely. The most disappointing feature was that statelite location was never accurate. My location was always a ways off, sometimes almost a mile. It was very concerning and problematic. OnX Hunt was always spot on with the same device, in the same areas. I'm willing to pay the difference in cost now.
3 ★ As a go hunt insider I really wanted this map experience to work, unfortunately it doesn't. I can't speak of the desktop experience only mobile. Here are the things I can think of off the top of my head. As I navigate in 2d and find something I want to see in 3d I get lost every time. Layers don't show up in 3d either so I constantly have to go back and forth. Also some layers are not transparent so I can't see detail unless I turn off the layer, example State land. Makes phone to hot to use.
1 ★ Slow. Every time I use this app, it seems to get slower. I've watched their tutorials on their website,and certain map features do not work, specifically 3D maps. Any time I try and use 3D maps on my phone,it just glitches out and won't work. Any time I try and do a track, it stops mid track and erases the whole track. Trying to load waypoints on here is so slow as well. Whenever I try to set up a waypoint, it takes forever to load. Sadly, I think I am going to have to use a different service.
2 ★ I LOVE gohunt as a company, the people (customer service is top notch) and Filtering 2.0 service is easy to use and a must have. With that said, mobile Maps was launched too early IMHO. Had issues w/ desktop version created waypoints not showing up in the phone app version. Now, the app won't even open. It starts, says I'm online then automatically closes. Such an awesome concept and once it's ready for prime time they'll have a one stop shop. But now.... It needs work.
5 ★ Customer Service is Great! I was experiencing some difficulties with some of the features in the app and reached out to their customer service about it. Less than 6 hours later there was an email from an actual person in my inbox that said they looked into the issue and planned on having a fix later on in the week. No cases numbers, no auto generated emails, and an actual person helped me. A Happy Insider, K.D.
3 ★ i downloaded 4 states...idaho, montana, penn, ohio. i used waypoints for many purposes. i used the track feature and distance features to help locate downed game. i had trouble with the downloaded states maintaining my setup...public boundries, trails, etc...kept having to restart app and reset my preferences...still having the issues...often multiple times. i used filtering 2.0 to locate a place to hunt in montana...first time with general deer tag...found nice place...ran out of time.
1 ★ Downloaded all Maryland layers and viewed Green Ridge State Forest which I know really well. The public/private land boundaries are not even remotely close to being right. I haven't even tried using this to navigate. What's the point? Everything I have been camping and hunting on for ten years is all marked private when I know for a FACT that thousands of acres are public and have been so for 50 plus years. Back to OnX
5 ★ Well beyond any other app that offers such detailed maps and adjustable GPA information the User Interface is easy to use and intuitive. Being able to see the property boundaries of small foraging and hunting areas is of great benefit to staying safe. This app has helped me not only hunt small game but fish and forage as well and I find it's ease of use and stability most necessary to keeping track of all my favorite spots, online or offline. 10/10 would recommend.
5 ★ I use alot of maps but Gonhunts pretty much replaced most of them now. They aren't glitchy when offline in the backcountry, they always load right away and the elevation selection on a mountainside I've never been to before is amazing. the colors are rich and the texture quality is is amazing as well. I have no complaints. I've told my friends and they all switched to it right after they tried it out. Also, their support staff is at the tip of any company, keep it up guys.
1 ★ Sucks on a cell phone. Might be better on a computer. But i don't take a computer to the mountains. The only good i can see is setting up a hunt map on a computer and then opening it on your phone. But that does little good if you have something come up and have to totally relocate during a hunt and end up in an area not on your map.
2 ★ This app is kinda horrible, the GPS freezes constantly and stops tracking me i have to close out the app and re-start to get it to update, I've never had this issuewith basemap, or Onx. The app has a hard time loading half the time unless I have great service. Decided to try it out, and am not impressed.
4 ★ Really hoped this app would work. Glitches every time I use it. Other apps of similar features work way better and have used for years on x. The picture is better on this app but if it won't work it's useless... Update- excellent customer service if you do have problems. After assistance it seems to be working again
1 ★ I've been the biggest gohunt fan since I got insider but I've tried this app over and over and it always lets me down. I love everything about the company but this app. I do everything you guys say to do with it updating, deleting and reinstalling. It works fine in the house but when you need it in the field it always lets me down. It's a miracle it hasn't gotten someone lost yet. (update) 11/12/23 the worst part of my elk hunt is this app! gps can't even point the right way and won't track.
