App permissions

ReSound Control 1.0.9 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to read or write the system settings.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

5 ★ Since the software update yesterday the app works well with my new phone Honor 20 Lite. Before the update it would only work with my old phones. Thank you for a much improved app.

4 ★ Those of you having problems with this app might want to try the Smart 3D app from Resound instead. Both apps work fine with my Android phone (and tablet) but Smart 3D is far superior. It doesn't need the phone clip, has amazing flexibility to customize settings (the VA was even able to "turn on" additional settings for me) and it also works fine with the TV steamer. Check it out. If it doesn't work (better) for you, then you probably just need help getting this one set up correctly.

3 ★ Writing this on behalf of someone else who had ReSound hearing aids on trial. The app worked for a while then would not pair up. This was to stream audio from phone to devices. The clip thing works though. Now the rub with this is this, the bluetooth protocols are there (see google dev pages) ASHA is the protocol for direct streaming like iOS has. ReSound just need to implement it. Dont blame android for slowness in software provision. Maybe ReSound want customers to buy full kit for hearing aids. Think twice before dumping £,€and$ into the till for the clip.

1 ★ I found out that my cell phone is not compatible with the resound app. that I need, unfortunately, to bad that I wasn't told this information before spending $ 4000.00

1 ★ Limited features for android As suggested, I installed the Smart 3D app (note: Smart app not available). I am only able to connect one of the hearing aids. This is unbelievable. My Galaxy S8 should have the appropriate capabilities and the VA said it should have worked but, no luck. I have requested an appointment with the VA and hopefully I will be able to get support from them within the next few months. Any other suggestions? In response to your last questions, I have LiNX Quattro products. I have removed and reinstalled the app multiple times, cleared bluetooth data, Location services are switched on on your S8, and that the app has permission to use them to no avail

5 ★ That VA hospital got mine as my hearing was pretty much wiped out during the Persian Gulf War in 1990-91. My experience has been great. I have the Streamer A connected to the TV and my wife calls it a marriage saver. Why you ask, well at my last tune up it was indicated to me that for me to now hear the upper mid ranges Freqs and above, the db level is a minimum of 75 db. The hearing aides are comfortable and the app gives the control to customize for the area I am in. Thanks Resound Donald

1 ★ Failing to show both aids linked. Using The Multi Mic and other kit both hearing aids are linked to devices, however the app only shows 1 aid linked, I can reset the links but will only show either the left or right aid as oinked but not both. Can full control using the devices themselves but preferred the ease of the app for adjusting bluetooth volume levels or setting single aid to specific config which can no longer be done. Also I can no longer stream from mobile to phone clip

1 ★ like everyone else with this issue, I have to purchase a phone clip to make this work with my Android phone, eventhough it works for iPhones. the question is why? if this is not the app, fine. why can't you make an app for the Android that does work without the phone clip? that's just one more thing to buy, one more thing to charge, one more thing to keep up with.

3 ★ Perfect for hearing with but not talking on. I am able to hear on the phone really well with these but people has a hard time understanding me when i use this bluetooth. Also sometimes the app wont connect even tho it it paired up correctly.

1 ★ Since I'm a Medicaid patient we were duked into the device and the only device I could get, but guess what it's not compatible with my LG stylus 4 nor since I see one that's compatible but I am stuck with this hearing aid 7 years and I can even be eligible for a new set of hearing aids because I have to stick with these they're not rechargeable the batteries only stay charged for at least 3 days when not in use bummer. I am very disappointed in this product.

2 ★ This app can't find my hearing aids most of the time, even with fresh batteries. I have to uninstall and install the app again, but even then it only works half the time. It makes me wonder just how great these hearing aids are and if they are worth the price I paid.

1 ★ BUYER BEWARE! ReSound Hearing Aids are extremely expensive and advertised with smart phone compatibility. This is a lie (well they do link up to SOME iPhones and Samsung Galaxys) everyone else is just out of luck. So here's a resolution offered by ReSound, buy another devise; a Phone Clip+! (Another $275+) What is a phone clip and why do I need to buy something else to make hearing aids YOU advertised as being smart phone compatible work? Why was this item not included when I was spending thousands of dollars? With ReSound's incredibly short list of "compatible" smart phones, would this clip even work on my hearing aids and cell phone? Only one way to find out.... Spend hundred of dollars and hope for the best.

3 ★ Doesn't always sound for notifications or the Bixby app for Samsung. It needs better updates. Notifications will come on my phone but I won't know it if I don't look at my phone.

1 ★ Very disappointing. Primarily made to be used with an iPhone and very clunky for Android. Was NOT told about this prior to purchase nor was I told about the required Phone Clip+ requirement. My previous aid had all this software built in and cost almost half of what this one costs. Returning it next week.

1 ★ Having been told my moto g5 is not compatible with the 3D app advice to download the control app and use the phone clip. Nope doesn't work either had to download to my tablet to get basic control and purchase a new phone. Will the new moto g8 work? You say it's compatible well sorry it simply won't connect, Can you answer my questions 1will the moto G8 work,(which I have now ordered) 2 why did the moto G5 work abroad but not in the UK 3 I have emailed support without reply.
