Description
• Migrate SMS Text and MMS messages - Easily move your text messages from your old phone to a new phone.
• Backups are saved in XML format.
• Send your backups anywhere using email, MMS, Dropbox, Skype, or any other app that can send attachments.
• Schedule Automatic backups
• Restore directly from email, by clicking on the backup attachment.
• Highly configurable. Settings allows you to specify where to save the backups. Default is to the SD Card.
Works great for migrating your messages from an old phone to a new phone.
Gizmoquip SMS Backup is fully compatible with other Gizmoquip apps including SMS Scheduler, SMS Tracker and Call Blocker

Allows an application to read SMS messages.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows applications to open network sockets.

4 ★ Got my SMSes back but the SMS app seems to list them in random order, the top one is someone I've not spoke to for ages, but when I click into someone everything is correct. When new SMSes arrive they are put at the top, in the correct order. so hopefully it will sort itself out.
3 ★ Seems to work, but: no SD card backups, no configurable delete-backups-older-than. No ads, but hasn't updated in years. Haven't tried an actual restore / backup.
3 ★ I tested several b/u apps and this is the only one I found to b/u & restore SMS/MMS group conversations, but some of the convos and some MMS got lost or misplaced when restored. Restore was quite slow, but that's okay (2000+ entries). Had to transfer to new phone. Only saves to internal memory (SDcard0). Used file manager to move file. If you could fix to save to external SDcard1 would be nice as well. BTW, file is too large for attachment to gmail. Don't get me wrong, I like it. Will gladly give 5 stars+
1 ★ Just backed up my SMS data and after factory restore my moto g2 once again I downloaded this app to restore the data when click go restore after 100% it show app op not allowed. Please resolve the issue.
3 ★ It say's they're back. But It won't let me view them!? I don't understand. I've tried numerous thing's. Has anyone else had this issue? Please help?
