Gigwalk 2.8.9 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows access to the vibrator.

This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

1 ★ I live in a decent sized city and there isn't a single gig for over 100 miles. And when I "search" in NYC there's only 3 available gigs. This platform is dead.

1 ★ This is the worst app to make money, and it depends if they if they have any gigs. Most of the time, NO!! Take about 20 pictures, answer about 15 questions and you make get $1!! But that's only if they don't deny you, and then they try to make you go back to redo it! You have spent $5 worth of gas, for $1!! Very Smart Gigwalk!! Who runs this app? Toddlers?

1 ★ I liked this app for completing tasks once and awhile, and used it for over a year. However, I have decided to delete it. The pay is not good, but I would use it to bulk up my route on occasion. They are the only gig app that had issues with my pictures and would sometimes deny tasks for blurry photos, when they were never, ever blurry with any other apps. There are also glitches constantly with this app. It is close to a nightmare to use and I"m surprised I tolerated it for as long as I did. I would not recommend doing jobs far from your home location in case they make you return to get additional photos which has happened many a time. The last job I completed with them was a complex job and I had some issues with the app. I reached out through their comment section on the specific job, and through their online support, marking the communications as urgent because the job was going to expire shortly. My communication was ignored until the next day at 2:20 PM..Over 24 hours. I returned the product that I purchased for the job because I did not want to risk being out money. All in all, this company does not value their workers. You are 20th on their priority list. Good luck.

1 ★ Won't recognize my valid email address as valid, so I can't log on or create a new account. That definitely makes the app useless to me. Hope they fix it, or maybe not--- That way I dont have to wait around for nothing.

1 ★ I would give a 0 star rating if I could. I've been using gigwalk for several years but since the update this app really sucks. Just go back to the way it was please. It wont accept my photos because of geo tracking even though I have changed all my settings. Hard to accept gigs. You cant just click on the gig you have to go into the map which is like very inconvenient. I did a gig like 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't been reviewed. It's honestly just becoming a waste of time.

1 ★ No gigs available in my area...well I live in a fairly large city....so I wonder what is up with that...not helpful for me because of no work in my area!

3 ★ I like this app because you can make extra money. But sometimes, it can take a while before you get paid. When the app updated, I seen I lost a few of the gigs I did and still have the photos for, reported it to them, but was ignored. Also the addresses aren't always correct. I hit direction and it takes me south of Illinois. When commenting on them. their ignored. I think once this app gets it's "keys" right, it can be better!

1 ★ This app seems to work great for the low paying gigs but when you've put in 2 hours of work (for a gig that says it's only supposed to take 30 minutes) on one of the higher paying gigs, and you even double checked that everything has been completed correctly, you ever so conveniently receive a notification that your work has been rejected saying that not everything was completed. It seems as if it's another way for these companies to overwork people for little (if that) compensation.

2 ★ It was okay before I guess. It was pretty slow and it required multiple taps to open a gig(sometimes 4+ taps) but it at least paid even a little. But since the update it has actually become unusable. Unistall, reinstall, still can't even open any gigs to apply no matter the number of taps and no matter which gig. And it seems like they're too busy telling people with similar issues that their in a small percentage instead of fixing it.

1 ★ Wow, this app grabs most all your private data from your cell and can do what it wants with it. Example it can take data from your calendar and write guests without informing you. I've never seen such an intrusive app! Nothing but a data mining app that pretends to be a platform offering work for little money. Sure they earn plenty from everything they mine. Read the "permissions" before you install this data miner. I've uninstalled this trash.

3 ★ Its a legit app and it pays relatively quickly. My criticism is with the new app. What the new app does well is finish each individual step of a gig faster. However, the map display consolidates everything into one icon in a general area, you need to zoom in to see each one. Also frustrating is that i have to wait for approval one i select one to do. i understand for new people but i have been using gigwalk for years, the old app was basically immediate when i submitted request.

1 ★ The 'new' app is just awful. Reserving gigs isn't automatic self assign anymore. You have to wait to get approved which may be in a few minutes, hours, or not at all. The available gigs auto group on the map unless you're zoomed way out. I also have to refresh the map when I initially open the app because no gigs display. Admittedly I don't check the app like I used to but gigs seem far and few between. At least the ones worth doing are. Pay sucks and is in line w the other crowdsourcing apps.

1 ★ Couldn't even make it through the sign up process. Every step gives you an error message. Then when you finally get past all that finally, picking a password will constantly give you a "wrong password" message. Would have loved to try this app out but y'all need to fix some bugs in your system and clarify your password rules. I tried four different ones!

1 ★ BEWARE OF THIS APP!!! There is a gig dealing with insurance (Insure) for quotes that they post as a testing app and it is a virus of some sort! WARNING!! DO NOT ACCEPT IT! Insurance companies will call or text you incessantly...literally harrass you. I did this and regret it so much. They will not post decent gigs in my area and I will have to look elsewhere. The gigs pay pennies and tired of waiting for them. Questions are long and tedious while some need a simple explanation. Big letdown.

1 ★ Junk, junk, junk, and more junk. It takes their "QA" team over a week to get back to you. Questions go unanswered, addresses are wrong, and support is a joke. Gigs get rejected for no apparent reason, and half the time, the app doesn't even work. Tech support doesn't understand basic English, and a ton of time is wasted trying to recoup $4. Don't waste your time with this disaster if a program.
