1 ★ Fired it up for the first time in 12 months and forgot my password. It won't let me reset - tells me no internet connection. Tried via wifi and Telstra. Fantastic :(

4 ★ The app is pretty basic in it's functions but you don't need complicated functions to find your dog. The app has a 10 second refresh so there is some lag. So expect to find your pet in a certain area and wait a few seconds to increase accuracy. There is also a lag when you start the app and it communicates with the receiver and the pet tag. Once it's up and running it has great range even in thick woods. I even lost the tag and used the receiver to find it in the trunk of my car.
5 ★ This has been great for us. Our dog likes to visit neighbors and we love that we know where to find him. Our neighbors do to because we don't have to call them to find out. We are in the country so not much trouble with buildings. The service is great too if you have any trouble. We had no trouble setting our fences. Very easy.
5 ★ Findster pet tracker is an awesome product. From day one i have used it with my dog and i love the badges and ability to trackwr my dog while on a walk. What is even better os the virtual vet service that comes along with in for a fee monthly. I can ask a quick question at any time and get great guidance for my pet. Excellent product. Kudos!
5 ★ Works so well, in real time. You can send locations to friends. Waterproof which was proven today on our walk. Love it.
3 ★ This is an update to my original review. I purchased this as a dog tracking device, so I could keep tabs on my dog while out hiking. Unfortunately, I don't think the Findster product is capable of this. I get multiple disconnects and the tracking information isn't accurate, when my dog is never further than ~500 yards and is usually less than 100 yards from me. Findster support reported that there were a great number of obstacles between the guardian and the pet module. There were definitely trees in between, but I live in northern Colorado, with a dry climate, so the forest is not dense and there is very little underbrush. What this tells me is that the product is basically line of site. If I can see my dog, I don't need a tracker. So this might be useful as a pet activity tracker in completely open fields. 15-20 years ago we had inexpensive FRS radios that would connect across ski areas with no problems with trees and sometimes even work from the back side of a mountain, so it is possible to have inexpensive radio systems that work much better.
2 ★ This product doesn't work! I love the idea of it, but after several months of changing settings, updating apps and firmware, the app still constantly loses connection within 50 or less. Customer service is very quick, but despite numerous complaints of the same problem and noted compliance with given instructions, they keep asking me to do the same thing to try to solve the problem. Also, one of my units, collar strap and all fell off on a run down a path within less than 30 days and is lost. Update: After some back and forth, Findster sent me a new set of trackers including replacing the unit that fell off. So far the performance is about the same though. : ( I am hopeful that perhaps a future update will fix the problem. I will update this review again if that happens.
5 ★ The tracker is amazing. I sit inside my living room with my cup of coffee while my dog runs around the bush. With the new firmware upgrade, I never lose reception under 1km. We're on the Canadian shield, on top of a hill, and in the thick bush. And, I'm inside my house! My big dog roamed for 2 years before I rescued him from the local shelter. He is finally trained to come when called so as soon as he leaves the safe zone I call him back in and give him a treat. The dog is happy because he get his exercise. We're happy because we know where he is. Great work Findster!
4 ★ Works as specified. The pet transmitter loses connection occasionally, and there is a 10 second latency but I can see my Huskies at the edge of the fenced property about a half mile away, through the forest. I hope it continues to work this way, and doesn't degrade in performance after updates (like Windows). Right now, after one day, I am very happy!
5 ★ The best pet tracker on the market! Pros: No monthly fees. Tracks pet within up to 3 mile radius, even when there's no phone signal. Tracks pet activity, so you can easily monitor and ensure they're getting enough exercise. Reliable, hard wearing, water resistant, the list goes on. Cons: None. I truly love this product. It offers fantastic peace of mind when out and about with your pet, to ensure that whatever happens, you'll always know where they are.
5 ★ Very happy with the technology and app. I get refreshes of my dog's position when off her lead every couple of seconds and it seems to track her position in hilly terrain quite well. She is well-disciplined and doesn't wander more than 100m from me before checking for my presence if I am out of sight. So, I haven't tested the stated range of the device yet. But, so far, so good. It's also useful to be able to switch from the zoomable satellite map mode to radar mode, which presents distance and direction, when live tracking my dog's position and movement. Very useful to be able to review her daily stats via the app and also review the pathways taken, which include suburban areas and natural areas. The map of each complete walk, out from and back to home, as presented by the app, seems to be quite accurate. Highly recommend the app. Simple to use and very effective.
2 ★ Works heaps better than another brand I trialed. But a number of aspects need to be improved. I am happy to have it though. As it does help me to locate my cat when I can't find her and gives me a clue where she is outside and I am inside, just by looking at my phone. That is when it is working properly. It might be clearer if they were using Google Maps, instead of Mapbox, with a much more blurry view? Battery indicator dose'nt seem to be accurate?
5 ★ Edit--After firmware update to the modules there is marked improvement. This has helped me find our cats when they have gone past their normal roaming area for too long. In general this will do what you need and will help you find your pets if they stray too far. Customer service was very good, helpful and responsive. There are still some items that should be addressed. A force-refresh command would be nice to ensure your information is as immediate as possible. A few other minor things like battery life, more granular control over the ping-rate (whatever it's called) so one could, for example, increase battery life at the expense of information freshness and vice/versa. But like I said, it will do what you need and has helped us find our cats on numerous occasions when they've been over a mile away.
