► BACKGROUND MODE
Aqua Map works also when in background, you can receive/make calls and messages while the track recording is running.

5 ★ App working very well on my Samsung S5 and Samsung 10.1 Note 2014. When I first downloaded on 8/5/15 I could not download maps. It appeared it was downloading them but they never were viewable. A sent an email to the developer and he was quick to respond. They were having a problem with their server but it was fixed by 8/7/15 and everything has worked well since. Nice app. Allows your device's GPS to show your moving location on the downloaded charts. Works completely off line so no additional data or cell connection is needed. If there are NOAA charts available for your area (limited for non-coastal / non-Great Lake area) this app is a steal at less than $4!
2 ★ I'm a member of the ActiveCaptain community and read about this app in the newsletter and I am not impressed! It took me several attemtps over several hours to download 8 separete tile charts. All I can do is place waypoints. Cannot do any route tracks for planning and other features.
4 ★ I have not experienced any problems so far. I like the big icons. The maps seem to have downloaded ok since I have reviewed areas I know and maps seem OK. Based on 6 years experience cruising Lake Michigan I think things are good. However, to me, the IC FL east is intimidating because of tides and shoaling and this app should help immensely. Thank you and I hope your interest in the app remains vibrant and continues to improve with even more AC data (like bottom and weather, storm data). Windows 10?
2 ★ Basic functionality is there but need an easy way to do basic configuration like night mode, disable screen blanking, track planning course to waypoints etc. I look forward to future enhancements to make this app awesome.
1 ★ Unable to download maps. Followed directions accordingly and same results. Emailed app development and they gave me the same directions as described on the app. ZERO *(stars) for the support team. After 4 emails still no response from tech support. THANKS FOR NOTHING.
5 ★ Nice app! This app is great. It helps the fishermen could use their phones to use a convenient map. Based on the map they can see the location of all fishermen. Logical interface and easy to use. I think the developers have made a very good app. I will share this app for my friends.
1 ★ I purchased based on recommendation from Active Captain. However, maps don't download as several others have stated. I thought update would have corrected but no joy. Don't waste your money.
