WINNES GPS 6.55 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

4 ★ An acceptable app that works with the devices it's designed for. It's been really good with my car tracker, the only issues being with my SIM and its PAYG method. Suddenly, today, I'm only getting Chinese language map in 'Historical Tracking' and it's centring on China. I can't see where my car has been. All other functions are working. I have just emailed the developer, hopefully they will reply very soon. I'm in the UK, so the history option is now useless, & it's the most used function.

5 ★ Very useful, free app and service to interact with GPS tracking units, with a google map interface on your phone or tablet. The setup on the device is a bit confusing at first, but afterwards it is very easy to use. I had my car stolen and not recovered by police for a month. Got it back with heavy damage. Never again!

3 ★ The app shows the item as offline and the only way to wake it up is to call the unit to wake up so you can track. When using the app can then not be a wake up button. Also do not understand what the 30 sec 1 hrs and 24 hour setting actually means as the screen just still seems to refresh every 15 sec. Need more explanation in the manual for things

4 ★ Does what it says on the tin. More than impressed considering this is a non subscription service... Once you set it up correctly by configuring the commands through the two way handshake, the rest is easy as all set parameters are executed perfectly when triggered. The most crucial part is using same network SIMs and configuring the APN settings otherwise pretty easy to setup. Just goggle the commands if lost.

1 ★ Since yesterday morning, the app and the online portal stopped working (they show my device as Offline, and the last position it has been, over 36h ago) Also, forget about notifications from the app - only SMS. From time to time it switches on some siren noise, quite irritating. Support is not helpful at all. Cheap looking, awful software.

1 ★ Unreliable! Cat long time home! Tracker ( Realtime mode 30 sec refresh) shows him 100 m. out! Last tracking more than 10 MINUTES ago!!! If you just roughly want to know where your cat HAS been this is for you. If you want to know where your Cat IS and really was buy something else! Historymode shows your cat moving through solid walls! Tracking seems to be random with sometimes more than 10 min. in between. Just traight lines are shown when connecting the few connections it makes.

1 ★ The whole process to set up is utterly confusing. I have spent the last two days trying to install the SIM card, set the GPS accuracy, sort out whatever an APN is (they asume you know) etc and its still showing the tracker 150 meters from where I am! You are asked to change the initial password from 123456. I did, wrote it down, THEN it asks for text messages to set up the APN (?) sent to the password not the units i.d. / serial number. Tried everything, its still not showing the position right.

5 ★ Love I it. I would pay or buy a coffee for the developer if I could find the option.

4 ★ This app works well and does mostly what I wanted. It would be very useful for me if I could view more than 1 tracker at a time though as I use them to monitor teams of walkers and have to log out and back in using different details every time to change the tracker as i can't seem to set up an account.

5 ★ Brilliant device The settings on the device for 1min/1hr/24hrs tracking setting. Means the device will send out Its location whatever time setting u pick The less the better for tracking But battery will go down quicker I know the tracking screen says every 15secs. But it doesn't mean the device is sending out a signal every 15secs its just refreshing the map page . If your device only sends out a signal every 24hrs .that's all the map will pick up .until the next 24hr signal is sent.

4 ★ It has a lot of features and it's quite intuitive, but login with Google or Facebook does not work. I am having a lot of troubles to log in, it says: "network connection fails". After emailing the customer support, they helped me log in!

3 ★ App has been working fine for ages with tkstar device. Suddenly stopped and device frozen in maps for a week now! Device is on line,and gprs active and responding to sms commands. Sent a small fee ..app this is required after 12 months? Nothing. No help or support from Tkstar, developers of this app or anywhere. Really poor show come on !

5 ★ ALL, I have been using this app without no problem. 1. It is important to configure very well your GPS Device, search "GSM/SPRS/GPS Tracker user manual" and configure your device to: 1. The "Offlline" device is because the device is "ARM" state and you need to send a command to always keep active your device, this will solve all the problems. 2. Do not worry about the battery consumption, mine is always active and is and never drains the battery of my car at all. I will recharge the GPS battery when you ran your car. 3. this is the command to keep always active your device sleep+password+space+off --> Send this as text message and you will see that GPS, and Cell signal is always active. When I got my devices I thought that was the app, but is the Device config.. good luck! Oh, actually this App show as KM not matter if you set to miles.. you can also download the TKStart app and that shows miles correctly on the speed.

4 ★ Great device, app, service. Took away one star due to not having the ability to view reports for more than a 24-hour period at a time. Otherwise, no issues - would recommend! The free start period was a great idea too!
