Bonnie Selvan revolves around the historical characters who lived in the time period.
Vijayalaya Chola (847 - 871 AD) was the proud founder of the Chola rule of the Cholas, who overtook the Pallavas and Pandyas. His son Aditi Chola expanded the Chola empire created by Vijayalaya Chola by conquering the Pallavas and the Kongu country.
