1 ★ Horrible, cannot stop the app working in background, and the voice messages. The maps gives me rather less info than Norgeskart outdoor.
2 ★ GPS always stayed on even when app was closed. Attempted to stop it by turning off the settings like it suggested but never worked. Too annoying having those notifications always on to keep the app.
5 ★ Fantastic app. Many maps to choose from depending on what you're doing with it. I use one of the top maps with trails/roads/forest boundary lines while off-roading in the Rocky Mountains. I have the PRO license and so I am able to download and map out my routes at home before I go (tihs app is very easily compatible with .GPX files and is very easy to update them or create your own tracks). I had some issue where I had to re-purchase the PRO license after my phone got a software update and the license didn't carry over, but Pierre was very kind and willing to refund the purchase, even when the mistake wasn't his fault. I will never use a different trail or map app again.
1 ★ I have already bought the pro license when I had the app on my old phone. Now I would have to buy it again. Also, this app is impossible to close and drains the battery. Edit: I connected it with my Google account... But the data that was synchronized is from another instalation that I didn't have the pro license on. The backed up track data is broken too.
5 ★ I've been using this app for several years to track all hiking, biking, and kayaking trips we've done. I regularly export the tracks to my Dropbox or GDrive for backup and access from my laptop and vice-versa to import. It seems pretty battery efficient and I especially like how it implements the map layering. I use the OpenCycleMap alot as well as the usgs topo and the OpenTopoMap. Last week they released the OpenSeaMap which I've been hoping for since I initially installed the app. Thank you!
5 ★ The app is exceptionally good. A two-in-one track recording and viewing app. A few minor drawbacks … 1) when a track is reversed, the new track loses all the waypoints of the original track. 2) It will be good if the map can be freely rotated with fingers. Thanks to the brilliant developer !
5 ★ Excellent DIY-style map aggregator and navigator. Lots of maps (opencyclemap can be alternated with google Terrain and satellite). Lots of options. Fair pricing. A rare alternative to venture-capitalist apps. Features-driven. Tradeoff is: room for improvement in term of user-interface, sometimes overly complex, and unexpected behaviour at times (gps tracking seems to be always on by default). That's ok. Good performance in general, though I wish Google Terrain would load as fast as original app.
4 ★ The response by the team is surprisingly swift and active to handle some minor frustration I raised in the review unlike most dev. Anyway, although i still find it buggy at times and i still can't edit out the unintentionally recorded trail from a saved track, i will leave more positive feedback raising its rating at this time. I will keep it until it fails...
3 ★ Wish it had a more classier, simplistic design. Sometimes it renders the track all messed up. Wish it records some sport activity stuff like pedometer, heart rate, spo2 etc. Or just let us pair our smartwatches/bands like Xiaomi Mi Band 5. Also it wpuld be cool to be able to connect the app with Google Fit & Strava.
5 ★ "this map provider does not all offline map creation" error for most map downloads to use offline. Some of the open source maps do work, but it defeats the purpose of using this app offline. Otherwise this is a great app and I mostly use it to track my travel.
5 ★ Needed an app to track my hike to help me keep from getting lost when I wandered off-trail. Worked beautifully for months, then stopped working even in the exact same places it worked dozens of times before. Turned out some phone update changed a battery optimization setting--DON'T set it for that! The waypoint feature is great. Sometimes if you open it to look at it even if you don't click "connect" it will say it's using battery and you have to go force it to stop.
2 ★ It appears to be working after download, but it is virtually impossible to create offline map on the phone. So it suggests to do the selection on a computer and then asks for account and a license for a pro version. This is a surprise. Uninstalling.
1 ★ it does not work. (anymore) I have had this app on my phone for about 2 years. It suddenly stopped working about 4 months ago. It will not record any tracks. It still finds where i am using gps positioning but doesnt record any movement. I have deleted the app and then reinstalled it with no success (multiple times). Spent time trying adjust preferences or settings. (still will not work) It use to be a good app.
3 ★ File & Track Management: Im desperately trying to save, copy, transfer the saved tracks but its SOOOO hard. It saves the files to some unaccesible place in the phone. It offers offline accounts like dropbox (no google drive?) but provides no way to "Sync now!"???? So only future tracks will sync? How do i get these tracks to my new phone??? Also, i wish the UI was better for turning tracks on and off. This huge side scroll is so annoying after 20 or so tracks. It shoukd have its own tab.
5 ★ For me the best trail app on the market, i've been using few others before. Large selection of maps, offline features, graphs. Only thing confusing is with start-stop-save button, i would prefer to enter my trail details before starting rather than end, would be clearer UX.
