Description
The original Deeper Smart Sonar app is a must-have for any smart angler. It works with or without a Deeper sonar and boasts great features for planning fishing trips and maximizing your catch rate. Know when and where to fish, measure the depth, find your targets, reel them in, log your catches and share them on social media. All in one convenient app.

4 ★ Worth having. Decent unit, it's not great ice fishing (when fishing 12ft and shallower) the tracking and depth are very nice to have.

4 ★ I've had this app now for about a year with the deeper Pro Plus sonar. I first started using it in the winter months when the fish are more lethargic and don't move around that often. It is very valuable for shore fishing. In the warmer months I don't use it that often. The app definitely has room for improvement. The maps are not very impressive and the mapping function of the Pro Plus is spotty and not very accurate. Quite often the data doesn't get saved. Be sewn or is very impressive and accurate. Of course they fish or in submerged cover you're not going to be able to mark the fish. It's great for marking fish suspended. Overall pretty happy with it. The app could be a lot better though. One suggestion would be to put fish marker icon overlays on the map we're fish were marked. Also the entire mapping feature needs a drastic upgrade.
1 ★ I used this app for a while and really loved it. It worked well and I recommended it to several people. BUT THE NEW UPDATE REALLY SUCKS BAD!!! The features are gone, the sonar won't stay connected, and even when it is connected it thinks every lake is a flat bottom hole with nothing in it. Guess I'm gonna get a lowrance or something else now that actually works.
3 ★ Fairly ok, I'm happy to see you've brought the older app version back. Luckily I was one of those who had turned off the auto update feature in my phone so I didn't experience all horror stories of some of your more recent reviewers. However I have noticed some connection issues when using the new deeper chirp +. I didn't have that issue before when I was using the older deeper pro +. Other then that it seems to work fine.
5 ★ Now that it is pretty rare to be able to find small inland waters to fish, I've been trying to adapt to the river & reservoir systems. I had some difficulty, since a boat hadn't been an option for me. With this app (& associated hardware) I've been able to improve things a lot, simply because upon arrival at any of the dozen public areas nearby, I can make a few casts & see if baitfish & larger fish are in the area. Don't know what they are, or if feeding, etc., But the fish in these larger waters move around a LOT, & I've saved so much time fishing water, that for whatever reason aren't in that section of the river then!!😂😂😁
1 ★ I would not buy a deeper until they sort out all the problems. Simply put, it is not fit for purpose. App constantly crashes, GPS disconnects every few seconds meaning you cant map anything accurately, errors about depth when depth is fine. Un usable. AVOID. Look at the new fish spy and perhaps consider that instead. If I could, I would!
4 ★ I have used it several times earlier this year since I've been fishing the same pond but it works really well, the only problem that I've had was battery life on my phone but the battery life on it isn't the best anyways since my phone is around 2 yrs old (LG V20). I haven't used it since this latest update but I plan on using it tomorrow in a local river, actually might wait til back at regular pond so I don't lose it and not sure if the current will give an accurate display. Future update soon
1 ★ This app used to be incredible. So much functionality and so easy to use. Since the last update, I cant access the POI, Calandar, and Weather at all through the app and the offline maps do not work under any circumstance on my Samsung S7. If you are thinking about buying Deeper, HOLD OFF until this app issue is resolved. The app is what makes (or breaks) this product. I'm begging you deeper, please restore the previous app version. It was..... Perfect, truly awesome app.
1 ★ I want the old app back while you are working on the bugs. I'm a software engineer and I would never allow my team to force an update that lacked the functionality of its predicessor application. The new app should have been released as a Beta for those who are brave enough to give it a try. Instead you've decided what you're loyal customers who have bragged about your product to others will have to endure as you rush to push out even the existung features. I want to install the old app now!
2 ★ Original app was great with easy access to preferences. The new app crashes constantly with too many questions and confirmations required to return to session which is SERIOUSLY inconvenient while on a kayak. Also, after the install my Deeper only lasts 4 to 5 hours. I can only assume it's because I CANNOT turn off the gps and speed functionality which uses more capacity. So all these factors combined makes for a frustrating day on the water. Please allow us to install the old application.
4 ★ I personally really like the app updates. It works fine on my Nexus 6P. I particularly like the fact that it shows the time and phone battery level in the header. I used to hate having to close the app to check those. My only suggestion is to improve the fish icons. They are currently just a flat solid orange color. The same orange color that gets used by the detailed view. When on a big school, a lot of times all that orange just blends together into one big solid mass that is hard to understand. Give the fish icons a border or something to make them stand apart when they are on top of each other and to differentiate them from the chart data a bit more.
3 ★ Great app, apart from a few points I think should be addressed: 1. Should be able to set max depth manually. 2. Deeper chirp+ beam angles are listed as low, medium, high instead of narrow, mid, wide. This causes some confusion. 3. Shallow mode should be ignorable, or configured to shallower. (I still want configuration in waters around 2 meters.). 4. Sometimes if you take out your (chirp in this case) until it goes into sleep, you have to manually go into manage deeper and reconnect next time. 5. I don't like how stuff on the bottom turns green on the default scheme, I want all my data to be of the same color scheme, so I can determine the strength of the return. The deeeper unit itself seems to be of good quality, but the app could use some more features and fixes.
3 ★ Hi , Im pretty happy with the app , although my app try to connect an unknown device . It seems like a unbreakable connection . When I connect my chirp + I have more device to choose from . Sometimes it didconects and try to find this ,,"Ghost" device . Looks like I can not delete this device from memory . Please help me !
5 ★ love it. Yes signal can drop sometimes but no different to drones etc. i found works better out of my case. used 3 times and caught fish. cant rate enough. only issue is the solunar calendar has different reports to other calendars online. raised it with deeper and they said try update which i have. but thays no reflection on the device. 5/5
