3 ★ Pace is somewhat slow, strong armed into purchasing the pro version constantly. If the programs are not free, do not advertise something for nothing. Offering something that is widely offered for free without upgrade pressure will succeed if the program/offering/class is riveting to the personal learner. This is great for a brand-new baby programmer that has time to kill.
4 ★ I liked the app, but my concern is the false advertising in your notifications. They say that you're offering free "Pro Access Membership" in the notifications by pressing the message, but it's just a "huge" deal of 24.99. Regardless if it's way cheaper, it's still false advertising. (thank you for responding)
2 ★ The app is poorly managed. I understand everyone is outsourcing to India solely because it's cheaper to do so, but the quality received from India mirrors that. Programming Hub never should have outsourced to India. The result of this being India-based, content is horribly outdated, images don't load in examples, links are broken, translations to English are barely sufficient, if they ever care to monitor the app all, an they don't care that some aspects of the courses are aged and insufficient.
5 ★ SO FAR SO GOOD! I am the type of person who struggles with paying attention so I learn better with Hands-On kind of learning and I have to go back and re-read the work 2/3 times before getting it. This app has been very good with explaining and also allows you to go back again and again. Honestly I probably wouldnt have paid for the app but they had an awesome discount for their anniversary & it has been worth it Your able to take tests and receive legit certificates that help w/ IT careers
4 ★ I like the format. I got pro version (would've been nice if there was more for free). My biggest complaint is that you can't skip lessons if you want to skip the first couple because you already know the basics. I can't compare this to any other programming teaching app as this is my first, but it's pretty good (especially with a large amount of courses in one place).
5 ★ Audio learners this is for you! I have worked in tech for quite some time and I need different skills for each assignment. I learn quickly but what makes me different is I am not a visual learner. This is the first app that provides the context in a clear and concise manner. No room for interpretation and they have a summary for every section. No repetitive tasks unnecessarily, I love it!!!!
4 ★ App works pretty well, but I agree with others that skipping lessons would be great. Perhaps with a test to assess skill level. Also might be nice to add some way to discuss courses. Additionally, there are some questions that I think more experienced folks might take issue with. For example, with Javascript, one of the earliest questions mentions that we have to use double quotes to print string, but you can use single quotes ' and, although this would be weird on its own, backticks `.
5 ★ Even though it may cost 28 dollars for the lifetime, it is definitely worth the cost especially for the customer support. 2 years ago I bought lifetime and deleted it for some reason, well I reinstalled it because I wanted to get back into programming, well I learned that for some reason the app didn't recognize I had lifetime, so I emailed Programming Hub and provided my receipt from 2021 and they responded telling me they reactivated it and gave me free access across platforms. Thank you PH!!
4 ★ I love that their is so much that I can learn from using this app. But I wish that they had CNC coding on here also. I understand that would be a lot more difficult to do since you would need drawing to base the coding off. But It would be interesting to have, if possible. But I'm always down to learn more about Java. I haven't touched that category sense college years.
5 ★ This application is simply amazing as it is full of helpful information that's both inciteful easy to learn. I'd definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to learning all different kinds of programming. I strongly suggest purchasing the pro version. Whether it's just for one course or several of them. They include different levels of pro. It was definitely worth the money to me to purchase the pro version that includes lifetime access to ALL content. I'm learning a ton of new things
3 ★ So far the programs are great, but it is annoying to get the notifications for "15 minutes to claim this deal" but then the app crashes before you can claim it, when you open the app again your deal is gone. Is your programming so bad that it can't keep track of the deals on a real clock? Cause I was actually trying to get my credit card information when that $20 for lifetime access timer started. I would have paid it, but I'm not paying the $40 just cause your programming is lacking.
5 ★ Cheeky, adorable, and quirky! I love this app. I bought pro on their anniversary special and honestly, I plan on learning everything it can provide. As a developer that struggles with ADHD, this app puts things into digestible bite size pieces and the text to speech helps me actually comprehend what I am reading. My only constructive feedback, which I honestly kinda of appreciate since it makes me laugh, is some of the grammar is very strange sometimes. Again though, so far, it's great!
5 ★ Great resource if you need to learn basics fast without any filler. The basic courses are written in a way that anyone can understand regardless of technical background, and the more advanced courses give you a heads up on what to learn to build your skillset in a particular area of study.
5 ★ As someone who's always been too intimidated to learn programming, I'm really appreciating the Fundamentals course. The app has a variety of courses (I got the big lifetime access deal) of diverse topics and difficulties. I got overzealous and tried to jump right into Python with zero knowledge, reluctantly went to the Fundamentals, and I really appreciate them. My pride wanted to consider the presentation patronizing, but it's honestly been the best way to grasp the concepts simply. Great job!
1 ★ When I first installed and used the app a couple years ago I remember it being great and easy to follow lessons with certificates showing that you have completed the course. I recently installed the app again and have been trying to use it but cannot seem to make it past the overwhelming presence of seemingly endless and unstoppable adds that are so persistently in the way making the use of the app impossible. A couple years ago I would have easily given it 4 to 5 stars this time I am deleting!
