What's new in GPS Rocket Locator 1.5
- a Bluetooth LE GPS manager was implemented to handle incoming NMEA "notifications" through the custom (general purpose) FFE0 GATT service
- improved NMEA parser to handle GALILEO, GLONASS and multi provider too
- store the tile cache as ".dat" files instead of ".png" so the Album/Photos apps won't display these
- use the standard cache folder for the tile cache by default

There is a GPS module in the rocket and It transmits the signal to the android phone via radio telemetry. I coded a functional and cool android software that use google maps api to track the rocket.
It’s basically google maps api with two gps positions: your position and the rocket position. Here is the main features:
- Current rocket distance from you.
- Rocket altitude (GPS altitude)
- Enable/disable follow me, for manually moving the map
- Can save the path of the rocket in a Google earth compatible
- Always record the last rocket position, in case you close accidentally the application, you can load the last position and continue your quest.
- In case you lost signal, it reconnects automatically when the rocket is back in the range.
- Rocket compass that rotate the map in the rocket direction (instead of north).
I have successfully found my lost rocket many times with this system.

5 ★ The first time I tried using it without any extra info or adjustment in settings A nice add on would be able to store flight info alt and landing coordinates. I don't know if it's even possible to do from the app??
5 ★ I have been using this app for about a year now. lots of high power launches including my L2 to over 14k feet. every one recovered easily with rocket locator. I wish it was easier to save each flight as a kml file, although it can be done if you save the rocket path then go to the rocketpath file and rename it.
