3 ★ It's a really cute game, but unfortunately the developers feel kind of greedy with the stuff they lock behind a paywall. I can understand new plants and things being locked behind it, but they have even locked basic quality of life settings behind the subscription service. I can't set a custom goal or when the clock starts counting for the day without paying money and that feels greedy.

2 ★ This is a cute app but is very limited on free options. I looked into paying for the premium version and it costs more than a streaming service. $70/year!!! They make it so cute but it's designed to where you have to pay to enjoy it. My wife has been using the app for years and it's really sad to see how much used to be free. You are allowed 6 or 7 free plants while the rest require a purchase. They offer a special pot to people who provide them with 5 stars.

3 ★ I want to love this app. I love gardening and the plants are adorable. I figured that growing up the plants would be great motivation to drink water. And it worked. The problem is, you only have 3 plants unlocked at the economy level and the premium level is WAY too expensive. I could see me paying $10 for an app like this, but not what you charge.

2 ★ Wish the newest version wasn't so payment based. When they announced the improvements before the update there was no indication that you would need to pay for plants you had already raised. Luckily for the makers this is still one of the better free water apps out there. Please stop advertising the paid version after every drink though.

1 ★ After your 1 month free subscription is over, it will automatically charge you almost 80$ for a year subscription which is a scam, I didn't even understand what I was getting out of the subscription and I won't be using it. I tried to get a refund the day they charged me and was denied by Google play. When I try submitting a refund request through the app it will not even let me submit one. Do not do the free trial and if you do don't forget to cancel or you're out 80$ for literally nothing.

5 ★ Been using it for about a year now, and although the pay-for-version is much cooler I don't have the money to spend on a water drinking app 😪 I wish it would be a one-time payment then I would do it but when they're subscription it's intimidating. Regardless the app is good if you use it to motivate you and stay drinking water! Also, don't go by their weight calculation but what your doctor recommends you because the app can't account for health conditions obviously!

2 ★ Great app for reminding me to hydrate-- while I had premium. It's very cute and fun, and it's an interesting revision of the old app (I do miss naming my plants thought). But a lot of the variety, as well as some key features, are paywalled. I probably won't use it anymore because of the price.

5 ★ Still new to the platform. So far I really like it. I'm using it solely as a hydration tracker and I like the music and plants. It took me a minute to figure out the little number on the plant screen, was number of cups i needed to drink, and that you have to hold the oz button down until it dings to count for 8oz or 1 cup of water.

3 ★ Cute app, and works well, but I REALLY dislike being constantly reminded of all the super cute things I'm missing out on since I can't imagine paying $79 a year for the Premium version. Seriously... Almost every page is rubbing what you're missing in your face, and it's freaking annoying. Also be wary of the 5-star reviews, as in-game, a free flower pot for leaving a 5⭐.

5 ★ You're definitely at the right place! This app is not your typical water tracker where it only shows you boring stats, and the design is just too simple to the point that you'll just forget about it. As a user of this app myself, it has helped me reach my hydration goals daily! It actually helps that you get a plant to take care of. The overall design of the app is great, very cute, and easy to navigate without being too boring. The developers did a great job! Would definitely recommend!! <3

3 ★ Been using this app daily for 2 and a half years. However, after the 5.0 update I've considered switching to another app. There are way more intrusive ads, like after adding water which never happened before. Seems like there is less available on the free version now too. I would consider paying, but the monthly/yearly costs are way too high for a water app.

1 ★ 1 Star for the 2023 upgrade. Only If you pay the $80/year subscription, you can collect all plants and creatures (incentives to drinking water consistently). There's very little incentive to use now. It's not fun at all now. 5 stars (in 2020 with early versions) Best app for the caring person who needs a drink! The extra motivation to grow and maintain virtual plants reminds me of the 90s Digi-pets without the obsession. It's a simple, easy to use app that's fun and effective.

5 ★ I've used one other water tracker in the past, but Plant Nanny has been much better for me and my goals. Having little plants to take care of has made it much easier to stay motivated to take care of myself too. With the new UI, the app has also gotten a much needed refresh. Everything feels much more polished and engaging than it felt with the previous UI.

2 ★ I really don't care for the update. Fewer resource types means it's less gamified which means it's not as effective for a lot of neurodivergent folks. The worst of it is how often it prompts you to upgrade to the paid version, so effing annoying. Right now I still feel like it's a better option than others because of the multiple drink size options, but I feel like it won't be long before I can't stand the constant upgrade prompts and delete it altogether.

2 ★ Very cute app that had very much helped me drink more water. It has v cute graphics and animations and helps me stay hydrated a little better. That being said I gave it a mid rating because 70% of the features are behind a paywall. It seems like most things i tap on send me to a dreaded subscription screen. I get the app has to make money and all but man it's bad.
