Flynx - Read the web smartly 2.1.2 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to read the sync stats.

Allows applications to read the sync settings.

Allows applications to write the sync settings.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

1 ★ Not a browser app! There is no intuitive way to enter a search term or website address. This app seems to be based on links to other browsers rather than stand-alone

4 ★ The app is great and idea to use floating window is pure awesomeness. But I'm giving 4 star because when I change from quick view mode to normal (to read the whole content), things overlap on the page. The second reason is no aggresive ad block.

1 ★ It is good for opening links on the background but that is about all it is good for. It stopped signing into Google and syncing across all my devices which I'm not pleased with. It crashes too much, looses links and sometimes won't open at all. I don't know of the developer lost interest or something worse. Too bad. It was the best at one time but not anymore.I will be looking for a replacement to this app.

1 ★ 2020 and we're still unable to sign in using your google account, look likes it's a wrap boys, the developers seem to have given up on this app, RIP

2 ★ It is really helpful for many functions but the most important one is to keep it from killing. The service killed after long time... I need it stay wake all the time I have a job in website can't be killed.

4 ★ Great concept. Love it. Although, I'm having trouble changing the display settings. I tap on the black button, but the page is still showing white. I tapped on the serif button and still everything is sans serif. This particular issue bothers me and I hope it could be resolved, soon.

3 ★ Great app. The only problem is, I dislike how the app completely refuse to work without the 'read phone status' permission. Would be better if you ask for the permission again once and say that the app may misbehave. And I have never seen apps asking for contacts permission to get my primary email. That's weird.. Couldn't I just manually sign in using email address?

2 ★ I like the app, but one main problem is that logging in/syncing/saving with your Google account isn't working and hasn't since I downloaded it about a week ago. I'm seeing reviews that are saying that it hasn't been going on some time now. Once it has been updated and Google account login is doable, I will re-review the app for a 5 star.. You pretty much login to everything with your Google account these days and not being able to is a HUGE downside to the app in my opinion.

2 ★ Does not meet expectations. Almost daily the bubble will disappear and any links I click won't pop up until restarting, I have to change the default browser to browse the web again. Last update was a year and a half ago according to Google. I was part of the beta program and received no additional updates. It's a great concept, but clearly the developer has no interest in continuing to pursue it.

5 ★ It is greaat! Anyone who sees my comment, the app asks for contacts permission because it used to sign in using your Google account. Now the app is outdated and you can't, but that is the reason for that permission.

5 ★ I freaking love the thoughtful simplicity and versatility that went into the design of this app. I've normally used Google Chrome as my default browser and worried about adapting to this as my default, and thankfully I was able to operate it with fluid ease within a day, and can also use this app to open an article in Google Chrome. I read and save a LOT of articles on a daily basis, so I love the Recent tab I can use to peruse previously read but unsaved articles. I highly recommend using it.

3 ★ This app is a very cool idea and the implementation is promising. Sad that it is no longer maintained. Could improve few things. 1. It doesn't work pasting into form elements on websites. I could for example not paste my GitHub password from my password manager. 2. Google Sync doesn't work (404 Not Found). 3. Share button should share just the URL, not some "shared via Flynx" text! 4. Add "Copy link" and "Open in external browser" as icons (and make the website title as a separate row). 5. The "Read Mode" is not very good, fails very often and loads some other URL.
