5 ★ This app/product is essential for every homeowner (or renter if you have independent access to your water meter)! The monitoring is astoundingly sensitive and it gives so much peace of mind. I'm beyond thankful for it.
5 ★ really like this product. I've been able to monitor out water usage and feel safe about leaks. Purchased this after a leak in the main line in the yard to catch it sooner if it happens again
5 ★ The system caught two leaks within 1st year. I thought we had a high bill from our water sprinkler system for months , but found out we had an issue water flowing backwards through the meter then back through the meter (charging us). We would have never figured it out without the flume.
2 ★ Works well to track data. Data is a bit hard to navigate and requires lots of scrolling in detailed views. Also app keeps logging me out if the application randomly...
3 ★ Lots of false positives, and the interface could be improved. It took me awhile to realize that, while viewing hourly usage, it was showing per minute usage and that I needed to swipe left and right to view more. There's no clear indication more data is available this way. Also I keep getting notifications of leak detection like "water has been running for 2 hours at average of .2 gpm", but when I go to check the hourly usage it shows that someone took a shower for 10 minutes. Makes no sense.
5 ★ Bought the Flume water monitor, had it installed in less than 15 minutes. The app walks you through each step of the set up. At one point it asks you to wait until the "blue light" begins to blink on the hub. There isn't a blue light, until it begins to blink. There's a white light however... bit confusing. The app works well on Android 10. It immediately detected a low water leak and alerted me to it. The leak was 0.3 gallons/minute. At the cost of water here in San Antonio I figure the product paid for itself in less than one day. Found the leak to be in the backflow on our sprinkler system. Flume Tech immediately sent me a message asking if I needed help detecting the leak. Overall a great product!
4 ★ Working fine. Installation and testing gas gone very smoothly! Unit will pay for itself if sprinkler valve leaks again! Minor inconveniences only: Cannot edit a budget's interval (delete the budget and create a new one). To add a user to see your data, they must download the app to create a user, but it makes them full out information about the location. When added, they then have two locations, no idea yet how they remove that 2nd 'profile creation location' without un+reinstalling.
2 ★ Makes me log in EVERY SINGLE TIME I click on the app. Drives me crazy for when I just want to check on the useage.
1 ★ Just upgraded to version 1.5.3. When I start the app it freezes on the splash screen. Been very pleased up to this point, but totally useless now. UPDATE: I deleted the app completely and reinstalled. Appears to be working.
4 ★ I don't understand how this app notifies every night at 4am when my water softener is doing its job, but the one time that I actually need it when I forgot to turn off the outside water hose all the way, it doesn't notify me. It was running for 12 hrs at about 6 or 7 gallons an hour and never got a notification. Update: spoke with customer service. They're great at the getting back to you quickly and figuring out the problem.
1 ★ The battery went out in 6 months. Then Flume wanted to charge $60 for a replacement. How about offering rechargable batteries eco unfriendly Flume!!!
3 ★ software is buggy. shows promise but their data collection per minute is flakey. sometimes reports 0 gal/min when water is actually running. then all of a sudden it reports 20+ gal per minute. happens at least once per day. I'll add screenshots if they allow
3 ★ Overall the app is great, when it works. It fails to fully initialize and hangs at the Flime splash screen. Wait an hour and try again and it worked fine. If it won't start it is wirthless.
1 ★ Requires you to enter your full name, physical address, pnone number, insurance provider and, of course, e-mail address. All this information can be used in identify theft. The purpose of this device is to track water usage. Why do you need my name, phone number and full address?
5 ★ Customer support in the app is excellent. I always get my questions answered in a timely manner. Product has been working great so far!
