App permissions
I Love NY 6.0.22 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows an application to broadcast sticky intents.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Required to be able to access the camera device.

1 ★ not used friendly. can't figure out how to set my location. continues to bring me to Albany for events, things to do, hotels etc. and i don't want to search that area. needs some beta testing for usability. disappointed.
1 ★ my location is wrong. please fix this! going to have to uninstall until fixed, it's useless as is. fantastic concept, poor execution.
1 ★ Doesn't find location properly (said Saratoga Springs, but im in Rochester), Cant narrow attractions, etc. to a city (only a region), and events tab never load anything
4 ★ navigation of site could be better and easier to move back and forth between regions and events.
2 ★ I gave location permission to the app and everytime I open it it says I'm in Albany while I'm in New York City. whenever I change the location to New York City it will go back to other regions when I open different things like events and such
1 ★ It automatically makes your homescreen set to ALBANY AREA.. regardless of where in you York you are from. the developer needs to change that so the homescreen can be set to whatever area the user is from. ~Syracuse ex-user

1 ★ location services are requested but then not used, does not populate info bar when touching a pin and where is the ny state parks map?
1 ★ I've been in the app for about 15 minutes still looking for the virtual reality thing!!!! not very friendly!!!
3 ★ its a shame such an amazing app is ruined by the fact that it insists my location is Albany, im not the only one getting this, and i hope the creators fix this

2 ★ very incomplete. Looking for things to do in Kingston NY yielded a blank page. I know there are at least 2 go cart sites in or near Kingston.
5 ★ #1 i actually love this app it has so much to see and do i have family who's from there originally and it helps me out a lot wonderful idea thanks so much i appreciate it so much words couldn't decribe it
