1 ★ Useless. Can not find a signal through I surrounded by them. I have three Aps of my own and the neighbours are very close as well. As you can see, I'm on the net right now but this useless app is still reporting No Signal. Other similar apps show about ten aps in my area, even one from this same Developer. Rated Junk Status. Not Recommended. Uninstalling.

5 ★ Works perfectly and does not have the issues presented by the "standard" version of this same app (also available at the PlayStore).

1 ★ Updated review... I did not feel justified leaving a poor review for Google's decision to for all Android phones to use location for these apps. However, This app does work. Barely. To get the meters and graphs to update signal strength I had to manually load and reload the meters/graphs. Not useful to me. Samsung Galaxy S9 on T-Mobile.

5 ★ This is an earlier version of the current Wifi Analyzer. Sadly the new Android OS DOES require location info for any newly written Wifi apps. Android are a-holes in this case. Use this app instead of the newer apps as it is not subject to the newer app requirements. Sad that you have to use an old app to get around big brother programming by Google.

3 ★ Uninstalled other version - no way am I allowing it access to my location data (hence middling rating for this one). Frankly, if this version doesn't need it neither does the other. If this version of the app decides in furure that it also wants that kind of intrusive access I'll delete this too without a second thought.

1 ★ its no longer working in Pie without location permission plus switching on GPS/Location. In this classic version on Android 8 it was no problem without location. Please fix this, I don't need no extra battery hogging service. Pie does not see a location permission so switching on GPS does not help

5 ★ Easily my favourite WiFi tool. Used this many times to troubleshoot deadspots.

5 ★ While being WiFi hacked this summer, I noticed something suspicious going on that's related to this location services requirement in order to scan for WiFi access points. There's a cable TV & internet service provider that's trying to control all the WiFi bandwidth in dense neighborhoods through the use of evil twin man-in-the-middle attacks and this location services requirement to perform wifi scans is necessary to hide their illegal activity. Wifi sniff your neighborhood to see it all.

5 ★ Great app but in my Sony devices (4.1,5.1,6.0) i can't see the 40mhz AP's, it's fixable?

1 ★ I used to love this app, but now it can't find any Wi-Fi signals. I can go to my Wi-Fi setting on my phone and see lots but this app can't find even 1? Save your time.

5 ★ You might need to manually enable the location permission in order for it to 'see' any wifi networks. Android now requires this since it is possible to determine a device location via triangulation of known networks locations using public databases.

1 ★ have not used this app in long time but I tried to use it today. i was disappointed that it will not work without GPS turned on. it should not need GPS turned on. so i deleted it.

3 ★ It was a great app but since updating to Android 9 Pie, it doesn't work now. When will it ever get fixed? Use to be a 5 but it isn't any longer. I tried to email the developer but sadly no answer.

5 ★ Very helpful, a useful tool to have when waliing round site.
