Permissions:
This app uses Accessibility Services API. It uses the BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE permission to get the list of installed app in the device and to select/unselect the app(s) to add in Blacklist/Whitelists. Accessibility Services API is the only way to detect which other app is being opened/used in real time, it allows the Detoxify app to compare the apps from blacklist created by the user and prevents opening the other apps if those app(s) are in the Blacklist.
VPN Service Usage:
This app uses the VPN service to blacklist / whitelist the web domain on the device. This service allows users to control their access to certain websites they want to restrict themselves from visiting. The service can be enabled / disabled using the single click of a button.
This app uses the system alert window permission (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW) to lock apps that the user nominates as troublesome.

DETOXIFY - Porn App Blocker 2.7.15 APK requires following permissions:
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows an application to collect component usage statistics
Declaring the permission implies intention to use the API and the user of the device can grant permission through the Settings application.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.

5 ★ Useful for more than porn. I used this app for my husband and his porn addiction. He used it for over a year. And it helped so much. Now I'm using it for my shopping addiction. I've blocked Amazon shopping and all my other favorites. My husband has the pin. That way if there is something we need to buy online he unlocks and we buy it together. Other blocking apps only work on app blocking. But detoxify also allows you to block websites of your choice. This is truly amazing. Worth every penny.
5 ★ As someone who has tried a LOT of blockers I can safely say this is the best one out there. At last a blocker that is impossible to get around but also not too obtrusive. The interface is simple to use and well designed and the support team is extremely helpful. Definitely worth the $5 per month - thanks for finally helping to end my addiction!

5 ★ What a great app. Finally something that is not such a rip-off and works even when you restart the phone. I ve set the password randomly and drink a few drinks to make sure I wont remember the password. Everything works fine and I have a new hope!
5 ★ This app has been great so far (first week in). My favorite tool is the 'panic button' & the ability to set a pin to to protect from turning the blocker off immediately which gives me some buffer time to think about my decision if I ever try to turn it off. I find myself using the panic button often whenever I have an inkling of a thought for a website in order to turn off my phone access for however many minutes I need. It subconsciously gives my mind no other options so it get's back on focus and lets any urges pass. Originally chose it for it's nice logo & kept it since the interface was simple and clean. Plus, the subscription was reasonable for a full year's protection and investment to take quitting for good more seriously. + Your messaging and intention seem to be in good heart Family first, thank you guys. -Alex
4 ★ in short; the app does its job well. some critisms - I think the app creators worry a bit too much about the ratings and I feel like alot of the responses to 1 star reveiws could be handled a bit more proffesionally And yes, the first screen when you install the app says "DO NOT leave 1 star reveiw" i personally mistook that for a popup. and yes my dad did give consent, we have been working on his addiction for a while now.
4 ★ So this app has been very useful for me. Full disclosure, I'm an alcoholic and, unfortunately, it means I tend to do almost anything compulsively. So, sometimes that is porn and gambling. This app is useful for both with a little tweaking. I can add websites and apps I know I use compulsively and it just gives me a chace to think about what I'm doing. The customer service is good and they'll send me the pin in about 12 hours if I want. Occasionally it slows the internet or it would be five star
5 ★ I highly recommend this app. It's very open about what it does and contains way more functionality than I had hoped for. It also does not seem to contain any ads (surprising for a free app as good as this one). There is too much for one review, but taking five minutes to download this app and check it out for yourself is definitely a good idea

5 ★ Easy to use and so effective. The app does far better than Blocker X which I used premium with, and this one is just leagues ahead. So pleased with the usefulness and ease. This is your ticket to blocking the sites you need out of your life.
5 ★ Does exactly what its supposed to without slowing down the device or getting in the way of anything it isn't supposed to. The dashboard is simple and intuitive, the programming is sound (no glitches yet. I'll update if I find any) and the service is 100% worth the money. You can set a pin within the app itself to prevent uninstalling or filter lever rating, so my husband set my pin and I set his. This app DOES NOT require a accountability Partner to work, but one can be added if desired.
5 ★ I wouldnt have relapsed if i had just paid for this app. Im so much happier now that i have control of my life and my emotions. My example for justifying this app is that you wouldnt leave alcohol around an alcoholic unless they never had moments of weakness(stress, guilt, shame, anger, abandonment). I put this app on my phone to make my life harder in order to improve it. Im no longer taking the easy road.
5 ★ This is an app I've dreamed of. Blocks sites at a minimum, and has 2 optional modes with increasing restrictiveness so you can block reddit, instagram, or other apps that can lead to set backs. I hope with this app to achieve a goal I first attempted 10 years ago. Thanks for making an effective, light product.
5 ★ Very effective app for shutting out any trace of porn from your devices. Easy to set up and use, and the desktop version works well on my Windows 10 laptop, too. I highly recommend setting a randomized PIN and giving it to a trusted accountability partner whom you communicate with regularly. I know from experience how easy it is to circumvent these blockers otherwise, but the lock-and-key approach works quite well. I greatly appreciated the 2 month bonus I got when I purchased a year's worth of coverage. Also, the Thrive function is useful for me to shut out my phone as a source of distraction when I'm trying to focus on work or some other task.
5 ★ My family and I love this app! You can set the protection for as strong as you'd like. It really helps keep the junk off our phones. The internet holds a plethora of harmful websites, images, etc. This app can block all of that.
