What's new in SOS – Stay Safe! 4.0
- You complained about too many false alarms getting triggered, which was primarily a result of sensitive hardware in some devices versus others. We heard you! From this version, we have removed the ability to trigger an emergency alert by shaking your phone. You can now trigger an alert either from within the app or by pressing the power button on your device three times.

Description
How it works:
All you need to do is press the ‘POWER’ button of your phone three times in succession. SOS – Stay Safe! automatically sends an emergency message to friends and family along with your location and device battery level.
The app allows you to get help effortlessly and discreetly without raising any suspicion. The GPS tracking helps the recipients track your exact location.
There are two versions of the SOS – Stay Safe! app – Free and Pro
With the free version:
• Add up to 2 SMS emergency contacts
• Add up to 2 email emergency contacts
With the Pro version:
• Add unlimited phone and email contacts
• An audio recording of your situation is sent as an attachment with every email
• Use the app without advertisements in it
Note:
• SOS – Stay Safe! can be customized to alert police, security agencies, and community watch groups for emergency assistance, and quicker investigations.
• SOS – Stay Safe! is a peer to peer application. No personal information is stored in our servers. This means that user information, documented use of the application, saved data including messages, images, audio which may have been recorded, location information, battery level of the phone, activation dates and times of alerts are not saved in any form.

1 ★ After entering contact details I could not transfer to the step 2, keep pressing button Next and nothing happens. When I tried without entering contacts, I've been transfered to step 2. This is nonsense.
1 ★ I think the registration is confusing. It needs improvement on alarm triggering. I see no advantage in required PIN access.
1 ★ It won't let me continue adding contacts. Even with 2 numbers and emails it still says add contact info. Useless.

3 ★ Constantly setting off false alarms due to turning the screen on and off. The developer should make the number of power button presses to activate the alarm configurable. If this was fixed I'd rate it 5 stars.
1 ★ Keeps sending false alarms, even when I set it to alert with the button only. At this point if I were actually in a situation my family would just think it's another false alarm.
4 ★ I want to just disable the shake alert , because I sent everyday a lot of false alerts , even when I use only button ! , it automatically send messages , and that make more than 20 persons call me to check if I am okay or no after I send them sorry it's false .

2 ★ With shake limit set, I got tons of false alarms. And I had shook as hard as I could. I. An emergency, I would not want to do that in front of someone dangerous. I wrote the company, they told me to go to the next version and use the power button 3 times instead of the shake. Tried that. Still getting too many false alarms. Going to have to uninstall.
3 ★ The power button feature is what makes this program better than others. However, it is not perfect. The button feature is not customizable and only three presses in series is too few to positively avoid false activation; something that is paramount in a program used in an emergency. Also, custom messages can make the SOS seem less like spam to your loved ones and provide them with more detailed instructions. I had several false alarms due to delayed screen waking and conflicts with other aps.
