1 ★ I used to be a big fan for years until I rented a car from Dollar via Expedia, about three months ago. I incurred additional costs from Dollar Rental car service, once I arrived in another state. Both companies knew I couldn't cancel or get another rental, without losing money once I arrived. To date, Expedia has not provided assistance with rectifying this matter. I am very disappointed and reluctant to continue to purchase my travel through Expedia, going forward.
3 ★ This is my go to travel app. I was using earlier and it had a few issues but allowed me to get all the way to the pay page. Since it was giving me a little issue, I updated the app... Now I can't get past the reserve page for the hotel. I tap the button but nothing happens. I deleted the app and tried again and it still doesn't work. Please fix so I can book my vacay i plan to take in the next couple weeks
1 ★ CROOKS!!! Prices are consistently much more expensive than on the website despite claiming to "save more on the app". Same trip on website was $1000 (20%) cheaper. They also charged me for insurance on a trip that I canceled. I tried to dispute that I didn't need insurance for a trip that I wasn't taking but they said that it was non refundable. Kinda defeats the purpose of trip insurance. I'm done with this company. Rates are almost always cheaper booking direct anyway.
1 ★ We were all set for Yosemite and booked Oakhurst Inn through Expedia, but the rain had other plans. Roads were a mess, so I called to cancel a day ahead. I ran into Kaitlin/Keitlin/Kaitlyn (not exactly sure what her name is spelled) at the hotel's end, who was less than helpful and extremely rude. No refund, no sympathy, just a lot of hassle. It's not what you want when dealing with trip changes. I'm pretty disappointed with how it all went down. Do NOT book on Expedia. Traps are everywhere.
5 ★ I've been using Expedia for about 10 years now and I love it. I love how convenient booking can be, the price discounts, the ability to get virtual assistance (if need be) while booking my trips, and I love how travel points are easy to redeem for future trips.
1 ★ This used to be a rock solid app for booking travel, but since the last update, I am about to hurl my phone across the room. I have to login EVERY TIME I use the app, and when it finally says I am logged in (after 2-3 attempts and verification PINs), I try to view my trips, and it wants me to login AGAIN. I have several trips booked with Expedia for several thousand dollars, and if this doesn't change soon, I will no longer be using their services.
1 ★ Ever since you added one key cash, I completely dislike your app. I just went into the app and made a reservation, not realizing for some reason it wasn't logged into my account and i had the reciept sent to a different email. Now it's not gonna give me the cash I earned until I make an account with that email. And I'm sure it won't combine it. Why didn't it ask for account info in the beginning? I've used this service for almost a decade. But this was the last time. Don't fix what ain't broke.
1 ★ I've been using Expedia for a while. I stuck with this company because of my membership level. The app glitches very often. Sometimes I cannot login, sometimes I cannot make a payment. In last 12 months I had to open accounts at Orbitz and Kayak only because Expedia doesn't want to fix their problems. It's sooo stupid. I can't see my booking. I need my flight information but I cannot see it. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 Even when I logged in, I can't see my trips because system asks me to sign in. It's crazy
1 ★ What ever you do, try to avoid this app, in particular for travel outside the USA. I used it to book a car rental for my travel from Oaxaca to Huatulco, Mex. When I booked the rental they sold me the insurance for the vehicle. When I arrived to pick up the rental from Alamo, I found out they did not accept the insurance and had to purchase a separate insurance from Alamo in addition to leaving a deposit! I have tried contacting Expedia for a refund in vain. Overall horrible customer service!!!
1 ★ I'm having a terrible issue. I've booked a flight recently, and everytime I try and open the app to make sure everything is in order, I continue to be prompted with a screen saying "too many requests." I've closed the app completely and tried to reopen, even uninstalled, redownloaded and am having the SAME issue. I don't know what to do.
2 ★ Used to be my go to for all travel booking. What kind of business in 2023 requires you to make your device vulnerable to hackers. Will not work with my VPN up no matter what connection I try. Junk, in Europe for 3 months and been using booking dot com almost exclusively. You lost a lot of business. When VPN up the app opens to error of to many requests. I see this in other reviews. I have to pause my VPN to get the app to work which makes my device temporarily vulnerable.
1 ★ The worst customer service and bridging between airlines or other providers. There's no regard to the clients. I purchased protection but couldn't even use it. They transferred liability to the airline itself. What a joke, if there's 0 star I would have chosen that. Also, to answer the review checker's question to seem like they have good CR, they don't. I talked to 3 reps. They all said the same thing that led to nothing. Couldn't even give me the direct line to the airline. Shameful.
1 ★ Expedia's new login is so convoluted. Why send me a passkey and give me an option to put in my password? Why send me a passkey anyway after I've selected that rather than the passkey? And then the app freezes and doesn't let me in after all of that. When I finally do get in, you're showing me the same listings over and over. I've booked with Expedia them for years, but this new experience will make me go to Booking or direct from now on. So disappointing.
1 ★ Expedia can't do anything to assist in the case you are getting scammed with a bad hotel service. A hotel might post great pictures and send you a receipt saying that there are no warranties for their amenities, and the place can be a real mess. Expedia can't do anything about anything other than the reservation.
1 ★ I have been trying to log in for weeks with no luck. I have used expedia for years and never had an issue until recently. The virtual assistant is a joke and was no help. I have tried resetting my password with no luck. It keeps saying something went wrong on the companies end for weeks now. Well....you are losing out on business that way and will end up long time members try newer sites like I have been forced to do.
