Note #2: This app uses the Accessibility Services permission to automatically capture screenshots and scan them for pornography. The screenshots are scanned by AI and never leave your device. We also use the accessibility permission to ensure the blocker is not bypassed or disabled.
NOTE #3: This app uses the Device Administrator permission while the blocking feature is in use. This helps us ensure the filter is not bypassed or disabled. We don't use it for anything else.

2 ★ Amazing app, but after it got updated to requiring payment to use it i happily obliged and tried to subscribe, but I got an error saying I can't subscribe and I have to use a different payment option, yes I have money on that option and also tried the other options I got the same error with them. So now I'm without a blocker, please help! I already reached out to both Google and the Bulldog blocker team. No response yet. Once this gets resolved, I'll update to 5 stars. Thanks! Austin
1 ★ I'm really disappointed. This new update adding a subscription is fine, but the grandfathered VPN blocker isn't as helpful as it was before the update. I was using the cautious filtering setting, but it seems that this recent update limits it to the less restrictive filter. Some of the sites I used for porn were only blocked by that setting. I don't really want to subscribe myself; it's a steep price, and the AI isn't quite there yet in my opinion.
4 ★ First, thank you so much to the team behind the app for gifting me with one year of this free! Your AI filter is a Godsend! This app is extremely useful and the option for the filter to turn off after 30 min - 2 days is incredibly useful! (Thanks for bringing back the 2 day block by the way!) However, the app lacks one thing that I think really should be added: A website blocker option! Some sites where I can access porn are still available and the AI filter isn't perfect. Please add this.
1 ★ We have used this app for years in our household. Has always been great until the recent update, which has closed us out of our photos app due to "porn being detected" when looking at pictures of our newborn babies. That's messed up. And the code to deactivate will not send to the designated recipients no matter how many times we tell it to. Has started shutting us out of apps where we view workout content as well noting "racy content." Fix it.
4 ★ If I blocked Twitter (The app) I could still get in on the website on chrome. It's not the most secure but it definitely stops many of the main stream ways. Update (10-3-2022) the app super efficient now if it sees you looking at something inappropriate it will take you out of the website immediately. You get three chances before your blocked for 15 minutes. But you can still see things on websites using social media platforms which is bad.
5 ★ Works very well. Has a good system that makes you wait a certain amount of time (that you set yourself beforehand) before you can actually disable it. Also, the app can't be uninstalled when the blocker is enabled. Also has two more ways to prevent disabling: PIN and remote unlocking (by another person). I prefer using the timer, though. Another thing is it's completely free to use and with no ads, which is cool.
3 ★ This was a great app but the performance on it became a real problem. It will take 30s or more to load some pages. Didn't realize it was the VPN until I turned it off to test it and, sure enough, everything started loading up quickly. Thought it was my Internet, thought it was my router, etc. Nope, it was this app. I want to go back to using it but I'm in the fence on whether or not it's worth the performance issues. Please look into this! I don't think this used to be an issue.
2 ★ It shouldn't be necessary to turn off the filtering in order to ADD an app to the block list. There should be a longer timer than 2 days as well. Not only that, several adult hookup sites make it through the filter. It also at one point basically "hijacked" my phone to where I could only use a function for a few seconds before the screen would go to the bulldog page. Had to uninstall.
3 ★ Great at first, I installed at home and it was great and did everything it promised, but for some reason, if I am not connected to WIFI, no websites, youtube videos, etc will load while the filter is active. My phone has full bars, a lot of memory, and its really fast with the filter off. As soon as I turn the filter back on, everything just continuously loads and never finishes. I don't like disabling the filter to use my phone while away. Please fix, such a great app when working right.
1 ★ EDIT: a month later, still allows uninstall and have never received a response. One star. Original: Worked amazing for a while, no complaints. But a couple months ago, it allowed uninstall while active. I tested it a few times and it no longer blocks attempts, even with admin permissions enabled. I emailed them several times to troubleshoot, and never once received a response. If they'd get back with me, or fixed the issue, I'd gladly come right back, but it currently does no good as is.
2 ★ I really want to rate higher, but I can't because of one major flaw. When I open the blocked app in split screen view, it gives me full access to the app, while bulldog is attempting to block it on the other half. This really doesn't help at all, as it just gives me a way to still access the app. Please fix this, because everything else about this filter is great, but this just really ruins it. Much love!
3 ★ I am grateful that this app is free but lately it has become a massive burden to my regular, everyday phone usage. Several times a day the filter will completely brick my phone until I hard reboot. Search results will load, but I won't be able to open web pages. It extends to innocuous apps like Spotify, sports apps, and even my workout apps. Wifi or cellular. Again, I am extremely grateful for this app. It is great at preventing access to pornography but the VPN is in need of some tweaks.
3 ★ App comes ready with a list of sites to block outright. With one button I blocked every porn site I could think of as well as Reddit and other sites. However, it uses a VPN to intercept traffic. Security and trust issues aside, this means that your phone can't connect to smart devices on your network, so controlling Hue lights or other devices in your home is impossible.
2 ★ Desperately wish I could give it better. It was one of the best apps out there when I first got it. But several months ago it began blocking my access to any browser and even my Google search bar. I attempted to contact their support and all I got was "Uninstall, restart your phone, and try again". As someone who always has stuff to do on the browser this makes this app useless.
1 ★ It's alright except for us trying to set up my new phone and they won't send the pin to my wife like it says it will. Update! This app completely took over my phone after my software update. My phone was completely unusable until after the wait period because they never actually send the code to your specified contact. Deleting permanently this time.
