4 ★ Having transcribed content is a huge help, especially when listening to news stories. I have noticed however that sometimes the automatic translations of words are wildly off/misleading. For example, today 男女 was listed in the vocab as "masculine woman, mannish woman" when it clearly just meant "men and women". As an intermediate student I'm not as likely to be tripped up by these, but this app may not be ideal for beginner students as a result.
4 ★ Great idea but sometimes a bit clunky in the user experience.
5 ★ Though, It's better from my expectation in some aspects. There are still some disappointing issue which considerble big issue for languages learner. Such as furikana is wrong and be a result in some speaking session also wrong. Some translation of sentence are not correct. Anyway, using it more make me feel that it is really useful more and more. I revised to 5 stars!! You deserve it!
5 ★ seems really great! The free version sounds useable (2 videos a day) and The subtitling is one of the best I've seen. you can choose if you want it translated, and if your really bad at reading you can use the roumanji version to focus on vocabulary and grammar. Each sentence has a Little dictonary for it listed under it and you can choose your level based in JLPT for which words they decided to define. Has a cool quiz function that tests listening but they do it with kanji so that makes it hard
3 ★ Voiky is vastly improved in functionality, compared to the many times I used to uninstall it as a worthless app that just took up space. Now it has good value. However, now it has no more forever options, and the doubling of the price of the forever options before they were taken away took away their appeal. The main issue is if you are more expensive than Rosetta Stone and Pimsleur, you will lose out on what you could have in the long term.
5 ★ (Updated to 5 stars! My request was granted!)Great so far, but please change the vocab text color from red, to white. I cannot stand to read it at all(or provide the option to change it myself) Do this, and I'll subscribe, no problem. This is amazing, much like Fluent U, but cheaper.
5 ★ App is best for listening and reading practice it also includes speaking as well it allows you to pronounce the content "hatsuon no renshū" And the developer is also great cause I found a bug in the app that I couldn't open the app I emailed them and within an hour they released an update *so fast* Happy to use Japanese Voice 🥰
4 ★ The concept is great and the videos are very entertaining. However, there are so many mistakes in the subtitles and the vocabulary lists are always lacking words and explanations.
1 ★ the last version was better than this as watching videos was for free but you update this app to add a limit for watching and pay for others it is not good to make 2 videos per day available for free ....you update this app for more business not for new tips of learning or more videos ...i am really gonna hate this app and uninstall it
5 ★ Excellent program. Only setback is the explanatory texts are difficult to the eyes when they are in red against the dark background. Preferably in yellow or light green or any other more contrasting colours.
5 ★ not the best design but I love the idea of the app, that it has quizzes and other activities that kind of force you to pay more attention!!
5 ★ i love this app it is so helpful. i can now understand Japanese easily. i can also speak clearly. i do not like that you must have a ticket to listen to a video now.
