ESPN 5.7.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

1 ★ This app seems to get worse and worse for the phone. About 80% of the videos I click to watch, it shows the a commercial, then freezes..I have to click out and click back in only to watch another 30 second commercial all for a 30 second highlight. On top of that, the highlight takes 20 seconds to get to full resolution. The video suggestions are also a joke. I watch 3 soccer highlights, then get 50 suggestions of MLB or NFL when I rarely watch either of them. Do better ESPN

1 ★ I appreciate the option asking what sports I like but if you're going to go that far only show those sports & those teams. I don't want to see NBA, soccer, WWE wrestling? I don't care if it's the finals or a Cup match, don't put it at the top of my feed. If I want to see those sports or results, I'll search for them. Update: This app is still very poor. Same issues as previously noted. However, now you're forced to watch 2 ad's per highlight because the highlight never loads after the 1st ad.

1 ★ Basically Garbage Pretty okay when it works. But calling it "okay" is being generous. If it loads youll have lots of repetitive ads to constantly skip through, playback screen glitches depending on what wifi you're connected to, watch later not saving, etc. Recently the app is constantly saying im not subscribed when I am. Used to be able to just log off and back in to fix. Now that doesn't even work. Ridiculous that I can't get access to something I'm being billed for.

1 ★ You'd think Disney has enough money to produce a better product. I've had to uninstall and reinstall this app too many times to count. Hangs up and won't load content, or load at all, for absolutely no reason all the time. App features are OK, but what good are they when the app doesn't work? Lowering review from two stars to one star, because the more I think about it, an app this bad from Disney/ESPN really is inexcusable.

1 ★ Probably every other video, you watch a 30 second ad, but then the content just won't play. If you're going to make me watch an ad, you'd better make sure the content is there. Every 4 or 5 video clips you click on, a different vid from the one you picked will play, after the 30 second add, of course. The app is mostly customizable, I don't have to see anything from sports I don't care about. Except, of course, women's sports. ESPN is pushing that trash hard, and nobody cares.

2 ★ Highlight videos *never* work. The ads play fine! But the video immediately afterwards doesn't even indicate that it's attempting to load. It means mainly I read about a highlight, then go find some other source to watch it. Most everything else works exactly as well as every other sports app, but c'mon, you're ESPN - video needs to function, every time.

1 ★ This is the worst app I have on my S22 Ultra (One UI 5/6). It doesn't load most of the time (just a little dot on the screen), doesn't remember filtering in the schedule when leaving a video, video quality goes in and out. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared cache, all the normal stuff. Right now, I can launch the app successfully ONE time, immediately after a restart. Garbage. Absolutely garbage.

2 ★ Two stars simply because it's my main source for sports scores and such. Ads load fine, but videos rarely load. Frequent streaming buffering. If I have music playing, it stops when I open the app to the home page with no way to change that in the settings either. Oh, and the app hasn't been able to load for a few weeks, uninstalling and reinstalling hasn't helped... fix it maybe?

1 ★ Absolutely horrible app. I am trying to stream sports on ESPN + and you have to buy a new subscription to even start. It gives you no option to even sign in. Just Disney trying to milk this for more unwarranted subscriptions. The "Already Purchased?" Restore option is utterly useless. It then tells me that its unable to restore purchases. Please give us an option to sign in and actually stream on your app without having to go through these ridiculous hurdles.

1 ★ I paid for the subscription 20 minutes ago and already want my money back. I had to delete and reinstall the app on my Fire Stick because none of the videos would play. When you rewind for 10 seconds it takes a good few minutes for the resolution to come back 100%. After this month I'll most likely cancel. For a huge company, this is a very low standard!

1 ★ Not user friendly, slow to load, slow to change between screens, reloading of same material, gets stuck telling you about ESPN+ during breaks, just all around a total money grab for sports content when advertisers used to foot the bill. Maybe just cover what people actually watch or pay to go see...rocket science level MBAs just doing like they do...ruining it.

4 ★ ESPN is one my favorite sports apps. Features are good. The UI is good. The video quality could be better but it isn't great at the moment. Love the layout of your favorite scores on the main screen. Showing highlights of games isn't the best, highlights are not shown long enough as compared to other apps. Continue to update & improve for a better customer experience...

1 ★ Easily one of the worst apps and services I've ever been forced to use. If I had the option to use anything else, I would. ESPN, here's what you need to do: completely overhaul the app, show sports and content that I say I'm interested in at the top so I don't have to scroll through a bunch of stuff I've never had any interest in just to find what I want; fix your ads, you're torturing me by playing the same ads back to back (for ESPN+, which I'm literally watching the ads on). For starters.

1 ★ Wow the UI is actually terrible and a cluttered mess. When you pay for ESPN+ it does NOT remove the ads. Every highlight has an ad attached to it. Better to use Youtube for highlights. Some games have a blackout meaning you can't view it, even though it clearly says in the app you are able to view it with ESPN+. The connection is subpar with every other streaming service. Do not pay for this mess of an app. Use YouTube instead.

2 ★ This app is the worst. It's so bad that I'm compelled to leave a review. If I'm reading an article and my phone flips to landscape, I can't get back to the article. It disappears, and I either end up with a weird black screen or a scrolling newsletter where I can't find the article I was reading. Forget about watching a video...especially if the app is already open when you launch the video from a notification. Fix this! It's so frustrating. ESPN should have the best sports app out there!
