App permissions

Eques elf Smart Plug 1.1.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an application to modify global audio settings.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to read the low-level system log files.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to read or write the system settings.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

Allows applications to change network connectivity state.

Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

3 ★ Smart plug integrated with my Google Home Mini easily and worked fine until last week. Came home to find it had become unlinked to Mini. Now I can't get them to talk to one another. Customer service wants information I'm not comfortable giving them and says there are problems with the app they are ironing out. Three stars is because it worked as long as it did.

1 ★ HORRIBLE!!! After the latest update all of our smart plugs have had several issues. Some work and some dont. At that they dont communicate well with the server and only sometimes work. The biggest issue we have is now it wont work on android PERIOD! NO issues with ios what so ever. If you have these, DONT update or if youre thinking of buying them buy a competitors plug. These absolutely SUCK!!!

1 ★ Been using this for over a year. Suddenly not working and only SOME of the plugs continue to work with Alexa. Tried new install, same thing. Tried new Android device ... no way to enter my id. Really, really disappointed as I have been using 8 devices and was about to add 8 more. NOW WHAT CAN I DO..?

2 ★ Elf Smart plug has 3 light blink settings... Blue slow... Blue/red mix slow... Blue/red mix fast... You gotta have it on fast to setup connection. Updated firmware makes it easier with my dual 2.4ghz 5ghz setup. Used to be almost impossible because it wouldn't find the 2.4...Thanks for the update but why is configuration upload not in new version? Need to update your manual/online setup guides. Not working with alexa! Also daylight savings doesn't adjust. Trashing them...

3 ★ The app works fine for the most part. The integration is okay, I've found if the wifi goes down for a lengthy period they stop auto connecting eventually and you have to go through the reset process. This is a little annoying otherwise not a bad buy. Most recently on my Pixel 2XL when trying to add a new device where the said should be it displays so I can't add my plugs back if there's an issue. I have also noticed that the Google home integration is choppy, if you have to readd the devices then you have to relogin on the Google home app.

1 ★ One star until its fixed. Since the latest app update no one can connect, control, or pair new plugs. Nothing works.

1 ★ New app is better for setup but firmware updates make these incompatible with Alexa/Google home. I can add them to Alexa now but they no longer work. I just get "Device unresponsive". Still works with ELF app but I bought these to use with Echo/Alexa which it does not anymore. These are going in the trash.

1 ★ App worked until latest update. My wifi outlets no longer appear. I tried to add but won't let me. It only works on one iPhone. Before you are able to upload configuration and now it won't let you. Invite feature doesn't work. Please fix this!!!

1 ★ Bought these to use with my Google Home, but couldn't get them to work with it. I contacted support and, after doing a bunch of stuff I'd already done, they finally admitted there was a problem and said they'd contact me when it was fixed. that was months ago. I'm tired of waiting... so 1 star it is.

2 ★ New app or firmware update broke Google Home connectivity. The plugs are showing up, but only 1 of 4 are responding from Google Home. The others saying "oops couldn't connect to device." +1 star for making device pairing SO much better than before.

4 ★ It is comforting to know that I can turn off my appliance if I leave home and forget and leave it plugged in, like my curling iron and such.

1 ★ Unbelievably bad security. Wifi password can't contain special characters??????

1 ★ Kept telling me my internet was not supported, when it meets all the criteria. I checked it, my brother who works in an IT dept checked it, there is no reason it should not work. This was a complete waste of money. Very disappointed.

1 ★ bad support. i currently have a open ticket for over 2 weeks that has been escalated to their tier 2 support. no way to contact other than email. bought a bunch if these on black friday and none of them connect. even brought out an old 2.4ghz router to try a different router and still will not connect.

1 ★ Absolutely the worst update ever. Still haven't fixed the Google assistant integration and even when you open the app now the power button is never in the correct switch
