Description
Monitoring the changes that take place within your body is the best way to determine the effectiveness of your diet and exercise activities. Weight alone is a poor indicator of health and fitness. Analyzing your body composition is the best solution. Knowing how much of your weight is body fat, muscle mass, water, and/or bone is the secret to reaching your goals.
When used with a wireless Tanita scale and Bluetooth Low Energy (such as the the RD-901 Plus) or WiFi (such as the BC-1500, BC-1000 or BF-2000 with the Tanita WiFi Network Adapter), Healthy Edge Mobile records body composition results – weight, body fat%, body water%, muscle mass, bone mass, daily caloric intake, metabolic age, visceral fat, and physique rating. Your data is wirelessly transmitted via Bluetooth or WiFi to your Android product.
Healthy Edge Mobile can also communicate with your Bluetooth Low Energy activity monitor (such as the AM-161), allowing you to see your steps and calories burned throughout the day.

1 ★ Piece of junk. Can't get it to sync with my RD-901 rendering it virtually useless. The iPhones in our house have no problems. The Android phones are SOL. UPDATE: I still can't get this POS app to pair with my RD-901. The app navigation is horrible too. An example: To pick your birthday you have to tap an arrow key, month by month, until you get to your year and month. Last time I buy a Tanita scale.
1 ★ Terrible app and site for a great scale. The worst app I've ever seen. If you replace you phone, you'll lose your history and personal settings and have to repair, losing all settings in the scales. The charts are useless. I can't tell when the sync works.
1 ★ It paired with my device the first time, and hasn't been able to since. You could make a better graph and table with Excel in 5 minutes. Tanita should be embarrassed.
1 ★ App makes the expensive Ironman Scale useless. Buyer's remorse. Must now return the Tanita scale because of this App. It NEVER worked with my Android version 7 (up to date). Less than zero stars.
1 ★ Able to Bluetooth synch my Rd-965 scale on my pixel 3 running Android 9. Once I upgraded to Android version 10, Bluetooth synch no longer works. Developers, folks expect your scales to work with their phones. Get busy!
3 ★ I had trouble connecting with the scale and using the app until I gave the app permission to use Location and Storage. Seems to work now.
1 ★ I just opened the box, and downloading the app as the instructions say to do. .I'M TERRIFIED OF THIS PRODUCT AFTER READING THE REVIEWS!!! I literally bought this model because it came with software that would display and track my results. of course I thought it would be an awesome app - explaining everything. This is extremely worrisome.
1 ★ When it pairs the app shows TNT_PAIR but it does not see the scale and everytime I try it the app keeps crashing and but I want it fixed

1 ★ I use an ANT+ Scale (BC 1000) and have ANT+ on my phone. Yet, appears I need a Wifi Adapter ($125) to connect and automatically upload my data via this app? Aside from being terribly designed (and filled with useless dummy data by default?), it's also not very functional. Embarrassing that your company would release something like this. Tanita should offer software that matches the quality of their hardware. Maybe also hire a graphic designer and a strong copy writer. I'm definitely moving away from this company as fast as possible.
2 ★ What kind of sense does it make for an app to load itself up with three months of garbage data the first time you start it?
1 ★ Blanks out or errors. Never got it working.
2 ★ Needs a total rewrite. Should be able to export data in standard formats. Doesn't always sync with scale. Occasional crashes.
