Dogs have been selectively bred for thousands of years, sometimes by inbreeding dogs from the same ancestral lines, sometimes by mixing dogs from very different lines. The process continues today, resulting in a wide variety of breeds, hybrids, and types of dog. As such, dogs are the only animal with such a wide variation in appearance without speciation, "from the Chihuahua to the Great Dane."
The following list uses a wide interpretation of "breed." Breeds are usually categorized by the functional type from which the breed was developed. The basic types are companion dogs, guard dogs, hunting dogs, herding dogs, and working dogs, although there are many other types and subtypes. Breeds listed here may be traditional breeds with long histories as registered breeds, rare breeds with their own registries, or new breeds that may still be under development.

I was thinking about a few different dogs that were options for myself and my family and this app gave full, accurate, detailed descriptions of each dog. they tell you everything there is to on w about the dog you searched. including history, behavior, how to keep your dog in good shape and happy. a definite five star review for this app. I truly recommend

4 ★ Very informative, easy to use, and an easy read (not full of technical scientific terms). I would have liked to been able to sort by size, energy level, and temperament. The addition of designer breeds such as the pomsky would also be nice. I like that I didn't have to login to save my favorites and I could easily share the list.
4 ★ What's stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that there are a lot of unfinished areas in the descriptions. For an example, on the Akita Inu page in the Health section, you start with "The Akita Inu suffers from a lot of auto immune conditions, like:" and then nothing. Real bummer for me, since that's what I'm interested in.
5 ★ Perfect for studying different dog breeds. Includes breed history, physiology, interesting facts and famous dogs. And it also included the breed health problems which is perfect for choosing a pet or studying to be a vet. I recommend this app to anyone who loves dogs and wants to learn more about them. Only issue I had was that some of the "breeds" were just variations of one breed.
4 ★ one problem..... each time you select a dog to look at and when your done looking at it you get taken back to the top of the menu rather than where you left off..... would have been 5 stars otherwise as the app relays great information quickly.
4 ★ Almost perfect... Except I can't see any pictures except for the one at the top of the page for each breed. There's captions for other pictures, but no actual pictures.
3 ★ I wish the pictures were larger. I can't even zoom in or enlarge in any way. Fix this and you'll get better reviews and happier users.
5 ★ It was very useful full of great information an the breeds of dogs I would recommend this app to anyone who is trying to get real 100 precent equality for the pet it Is reliable
