The Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) has been around since the 1930s but was adapted to swimming pools after the introduction of Cyanuric Acid (CYA) in the 1960s. This app factors in CYA and all five of the original factors: pH, carbonate alkalinity, calcium hardness, water temperature and total dissolved solids (TDS).
