Baxta is a privacy focused personal safety, contact/family locator, and GPS tracker. It automates the collection and sharing of information to keep your family and emergency contacts updated on your situation.
Baxta's philosophy is to give you absolute control over your privacy. By default, Baxta does not share any of your information with anyone. You decide what features you want to enable to control exactly when and what Baxta does for you.

Each session is secured. Only your invitees for the session can access your shared information.

Baxta - Personal Safety App 1.19.1 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows an application to send SMS messages.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Permission an application must hold in order to use ACTION_REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to write the user's contacts data.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.

5 ★ Very reliable. Unlike other apps, the accuracy of the location is very high. I ran the real time session for a couple of days, without any gaps in tracking. Only slight drawback is that my contacts seem to gets an update every 1 - 2 minutes, and there isn't a setting to make it more frequent.
5 ★ This app has performed wonderfully for my family. My partner left her phone at the café, and when she returned to look for it, it was no longer there. We use my phone to track the person who took the phone, and was able to get it off them. They said they were going to turn it over to the police. Yea right.
5 ★ Brilliant app for families with growing kids. As a parent with 2 kids, it keeps me from feeling so worried and keeps my kids happy Im not getting on at them for their whereabouts which protects the trust I share with my kids. Brilliant idea!
4 ★ This is a good app. In fact one of the few that really work as it says on the tin. Setting up ID's was a bit messy and needs to be installed and open on both phones. Otherwise worth keeping. Not sure about the reviews. Some are identical under different names!
5 ★ I work in rural areas with intermittent network coverage. This is the only app where my partner was able to track my location history accurately, even when I am in areas with bad gps signal and sometimes without internet coverage.
5 ★ I downloaded the app for mother who lives alone. I originally intended to use it to be able to check-in on her, to see if she is active and give her a quick way to contact me in an emergency. Lately, she asked me to share my location, so that she can track me when I am on my way to visit her. She says that "it makes her day"!
1 ★ Installed the app and try to create the account but didn't get any verification email to verify. Tried several times and waited 1 day still didn't get any email to verify the accounts, also checked the spam folder but no verification email then it was useless so uninstalled it.
5 ★ Great app. Simple and does what is described. I especially like the activate via power button feature. Love to see what the new features will be.
5 ★ Very useful product. Only thing is can u change contact page to have a 'save & close' button? Was confused what to do after I put in a contact number & I didn't want to send a test sms.
5 ★ This is the perfect safety app for my family. The children still have their freedom and I have peace of mind knowing that they are safe. Very easy to use for the whole family and looks great too.
5 ★ My housemate is my emergency contact so it is not convenient for me to be sharing whereabouts with her 24/7. This is the only safety app that really allows me to control my level of privacy and still gives me absolute confidence that she has my back when I need it.
5 ★ Love this app. Makes me feel safe when I am out by myself. Compared to other personal safety apps, this was very easy to setup and use. And it is totally free.
1 ★ The app will not run if you don't grant all permissions. I don't feel like certain permissions are necessary for my purpose. I uninstalled it and will look for a different app that meets my needs.
1 ★ I'm not sure what the point is, it downloaded then upon open, went to a swipe page with several panels about features, that I will never see, because there is nothing more to the app. Deleted within 5 minutes of install.
5 ★ My friend recommended me to try Baxta, and I'm happy she did. I have tried a few other similar apps, unlike those app, Baxta seems to use significantly less battery, and it is not constantly sharing my whereabouts.
