What is Utter?
Utter is a conversation-based learning app that helps people improve their communication skills through automated learning sessions as well as simple conversations with live tutors. If you sign up on Utter, you get to help a student who is shy or unsure of his ability to carry out a conversation with ease, to develop his communication skills and boost his confidence. When you sign up as an Utter Expert, you get to:
- Use conversation as an effective learning tool
- Help someone better their communication skills through simple chat sessions
- Have the opportunity to teach and share your knowledge
- Make fruitful use of any spare time you might have
App permissions

5 ★ This is a great place to work especially if you need flexible working hours . I am able to work this job while attending college. I would recommend this job to a lot of people who love working with special adults or kids, someone who has the inspiration and patience for things like this. It’s a great job and it teaches you a lot. The tutors here aren’t just role models, but they are there to help you 24/7. I myself have personally been able to connect with my coworkers.
1 ★ I was a part of it, for two months and I was humiliated on the group almost every 3rd week, so much so that I had to quit. I still haven't been paid my dues, even after I have contacted them. They make you work hard but don't end up their end. I am disappointed. If you are downloading this app because you are selected for their 'internship' program, it's best to find another.
1 ★ Worst experience! I worked here for two days, and I was told to work here everyday for a period of three months, not even a day off, and with such unhelpful and stupid co-workers. Hectic! Whenever I tried something new, my manager would bully me. I had to follow a conservative set of "rules" which was ineffective for us to communicate, as well as costumers using the Utter App. If you've joined this internship, please take my advice and leave. Run!
