Description

Thousands of public safety organizations across the United States and Canada use the CodeRED community notification system to initiate emergency notifications. The CodeRED Mobile Alert app enables subscribers to receive these notifications directly to their personal cell phone whether at home, on the road, or traveling around the country. Alerts are initiated by authorized public safety officials to deliver location-based notifications and are not issued by OnSolve or its staff.

Free alerts available*

• Emergency
• General
• Missing person

*PLEASE NOTE: If the public safety agency covering your current location is not subscribed to the CodeRED service, you will not receive alerts through this application. If your city or state does not currently subscribe to CodeRED, contact your local public safety organization today to let them know that your community would benefit from this service.

Helpful hints:

• Enable location services on your phone.
• Your app account and the account you create for your community’s CodeRED system are NOT associated with each other. You must create separate accounts.
• The CodeRED Mobile Alert app comes with a complimentary 30-day trial of CodeRED Enhanced Weather subscription that automatically alerts US-based subscribers of severe weather. The optional CodeRED Weather Warning add-on is an additional $0.99/year, but it is NOT required to receive emergency, general and missing person alerts.
• The app also features the ability to view local radar footage for the past hour and satellite imagery of the previous 24 hours.

1 ★ Shelter in place alert (apparently, but no alert?!?) Today No alerts despite ensuring all the right things", checked" notifications on... What is code red & county liability for failure to properly sheet community

1 ★ This app is doomed to fail. Here is the issue, you sign up through your local community link but when you log in to the app, it wants a different login and the app does a terrible job of letting you know how it all works. I hope they fix this STUPID issue and it becomes useful but I have my doubts. One star because the app is unusable without a better onboarding experience. What is the point of making people sign up for an account on the web then a separate login for the app?

1 ★ Like everyone else says, it's useless. I signed up on the web with my Google but it wants other info for the app. Not very useful with approaching severe weather.

5 ★ I really like the app. It has alerted me for Snow storms, tornadoes. flash floods. ad eve prison escape. The only problem is I moved and changed my address is not an easy task. I can't remember my PW I don't even remember making a PW. I am also visually impaired so difficult for me to see how to make changes.

1 ★ Please, update the app to link to google. On the website I sign in using the Google button instead of a username and password. Since the app doesn't connect to my google account, I can't login.

2 ★ Doesn't appear to integrate with their web site. When I signed up on the site I was able to log in with Google. The app wants me to create a separate set of credentials. Can't be bothered. If you're going to offer an app and a web experience they really need to be integrated better than this.

1 ★ Account management practices from the 90s. These people don't have any idea what they're doing with online identities. If your local gov uses this service, you can't login to this app with that same account. If you try and reset your password using the app, it resets the password on the local gov account. I will not be trusting them with my information and am glad I generated a random password. I will be uninstalling and relying on text alerts from my city.

1 ★ Totally USELESS. I just learned that we're under a boil water order, and the app NEVER alerted me. UNACCEPTABLE and UNINSTALLED!!!

2 ★ Good idea, but the app has no control over what my nearby towns think is an emergency. This morning it was a water main break that had been fixed in a town 30 miles from me, and of course yesterday it was the fact that that same water break had happened! There should be a way to just turn on the most extreme weather related or abduction related emergencies. Uninstalling.

1 ★ Great for alerts 1300 miles away but terrible in this area (midwest). Don't waste your time unless you live on the east coast.

2 ★ I'm so confused, errors keep happening! You eventually fix them but how many lives in the mean time? It's a serious responsibility to take on, so shouldn't it be handled as such. I do love the concept and am able to get near by warnings but... And i haven't been able to change the notification sound so it doesn't come in as a normal default text that i don't rush to bother checking.

1 ★ When I first installed this app months ago it worked and I received regular emergency notifications per my settings, but I have not received any alerts since August 2018. There's obviously no way that there hasn't been an emergency alert within a 25 mile radius of my location in the last 5 months so it's obviously not functioning as it should. I have the most up-to-date version, and the settings are all what they should be, I'm just not getting any alerts. Will uninstall if not fixed shortly!

1 ★ Tried over and over to sign in. It won't accept my email and password that I used to sign up on the website.

1 ★ I registered on my laptop, and I can't even sign in on their website! (There was no confirmation email sent to my email address.) I decided to click "can't remember password." Then I get an error message. This website is completely useless! My credentials are also coming up as invalid when I try to sign in on the app as well. Uninstalling... [My local police department doesn't use Nixle. They use this alert system which doesn't work!]

1 ★ this is junk software. it has no weather alerts, you have register for those for some reason. everyone has it for free without fuss. not sure if you have to pay, but probably. the alert talks for some reason, and i see no way to let it buzz without voices. at 4 am it woke me up (i actually do have a silence thing set on the phone so nothing bothers me when i'm asleep). it told me there is a boil water alert, in a town no where near me. like 10 miles or more away. it woke me up for that. i thought there was a real emergency, certainly something that could wait till dawn. so far it hasn't told me anything useful, even when there were alerts near me, it didn't say anything.
