What's new in Hero Lab Character Import Lite 1.12f
This is due to an issue with Dropbox Chooser which was returning DIRECT_LINK instead of FILE_CONTENT.
Some users may experience an app crash on first load of the Document Picker due to legacy code issues, but subsequent attempts should be successful.

Download "Hero Lab Character Sheet" from the Google Play store to have the same experience without ads.
Hero Lab Character Sheet Lite allows you to import .por files generated by Hero Lab to create dynamic character sheets for use on your Android device.
If you want a character sheet app for your device but don't want to enter all the information manually onto your device, Hero Lab can do all the hard work of creating your character for you, and then just use email, Google Drive or Dropbox to import it into the App and make your character sheet mobile.
When you want to level up, just update your character on Hero Lab, email/Google Drive/Dropbox it to yourself and re-import!

Things to note:
*Read the help screen on first load - it answers most questions!
*My D&D group play Pathfinder, so all my knowledge for Stat Linking etc.. is based around that rule set, if it is not to your liking, simply switch the extras off in the options menu!
*All code used to make the character sheets look is my own.
*Stat Linking does not affect damage done by bows, as the .por does not identify Composite bows, if the name and description is custom and did not use the word "Composite" the app would have no way of knowing so this was omitted.
*Although there are trackable resources in the .por file, it is not easy to track what is and isn't ammo and which weapons it would be associated with.
*If you have you imported a problematic .por file and the app crashes everytime it loads, use the app settings in android to clear data associated with the app.
*Use Hero Lab to save your portfolio as a .por file (this is the default output), the extension must remain .por, the app will try to read the files from default Downloads directory of your device, which is where email applications such as GMail should save files to by default, or you can load it through Dropbox.
*Before saving your portfolio MAKE SURE Point Blank Shot is disabled, the app will work all this out for you, if you have it enabled it will be applied again as the value in the saved file changes!

4 ★ I love this app. Works well w my characters, no issues loading or switching btw characters. Minor issues with casters knowing which spells have been cast, although it does track usage in general. Conditions are not available yet. With a better spell tracking (especially for meorized spell usage) amd conditions, it would be a 5!
4 ★ Very nice app, does pretty much everything you would need it to for this. My only complaint is that it does not allow prepared casters to change their prepared spells nor does it keep track of which spells you casted all ready. It does keep a record of your spellbook so it makes that easier. For sorcerers, bards and the like it does keep track of spells per day so yhats nice. Other than that it is a great alternative to the stack of papers that would be your Hero Lab character sheet.
4 ★ I love the app and is extremely useful as I don't have to carry many sheets of paper, so it is an environmentally friendly. My only complaint so far is with my Kineticist character. His kinetic blast is not listed under the attacks tab.
1 ★ Everytime I import for either Google or Dropbox some how negatives get added to my skills. The spells don't know what dice should be rolled like everywhere else. Any special edits are not even read. I might as well use a pdf reader
3 ★ I do not see race, class, there's no breakdown of skills. It's not bad, but it's not very good

4 ★ Not bad, but needs to have ability toggles.
3 ★ Drains battery faster than many other apps even when WiFi is turned off. I can stream movies on my Android Tablet with less drain over the same period of time - about 3 hours. Still bringing my paper backup to game sessions. Hope a bug fix is on the way.
4 ★ Good app. I've noticed that it sets your attack bonus to 0 by subtracting an equal amount of your appropriate stat modifier under the miscellaneous column. For example my character has a +2 strength, but a -2 misc modifier and a +3 dex, but a -3 misc modifier. It's not a huge deal as it calculates it correctly on the weapon page, but wanted to let you know.
3 ★ Without the ability to add conditions, this won't be used much. Bought the full app anyway, in anticipation of conditions coming soon! Spell lists are currently very cumbersome and difficult to navigate through. Also, startup guide lists this does not have Google Drive support, but it worked fine. Kudos to you! Keep up the good work and thanks
5 ★ I cannot use the same device to prepare my campaign, will I need to buy multiple instances and does my information sync across multiple devices and platforms? (Android and three separate windows PCs)
3 ★ I know it says this isn't able to create a new character, but you can't really see much about your character, or edit them. If i could do that, easily at least a 4 star
4 ★ This app is great if you already know the character in play, but far less so if your DM needs a look since I didn't see a race/class/level field anywhere. I would also seriously recommend a way to list companions such as mounts and hirelings so players can quickly access cohort sheets. Other than that it's pretty top notch looking. I'll probably buy the full version if I like it.
