5 ★ I finally purchased this app for life! I used it yearly, but was too poor for a season and had to go without it. Once I had a little extra, I purchased it for life so I never have to go without again! I use this app in addition to my daily devotions. I let it play while I fall asleep, when I do chores and, my favorite, I set down with my Bible and let the app keep me focused as I read along HUGE portions of Scripture; this helps me get a big, over-arching understanding of Biblical themes!
4 ★ This app does not have the different books that were taken out. As a Catholic, our Bible has a few extra books that most protestant translation don't have. And I think that it could be better with the option to choose different translations. Even with the option to choose between a Catholic Bible translation and a protestant Bible translation
5 ★ this app has been instrumental in getting me into scripture and growing my faith. I'm so grateful I found Dwell. I realized a while ago that listening to a book is so much easier for me then sitting down and reading. I can do things while listening and it allows me to do it more often but also absorb it better. at one point I realized I could aply this to reading the Bible, something I've always wanted to do more often. so I went on a search for a good Bible app and found Dwell. I love it.
5 ★ I really love this app. I have tried several Bible apps that read the Bible to you, but I've never enjoyed them much. I love that you can pick the version you like and a reader. I think it was really smart to make the app really customizable with the speed of reading and such. I often listen to one of the sleep Playlists while I fall asleep. The only thing I wish was different is that there was a way to make a note while listening. I am a huge note taker.
4 ★ love the direction this app is going. I have a few suggestions: 1) when you are listening to a chapter and you find a verse you want to add a playlist users should just be able to do a long press on the verse and quick add it, instead of having to go back, disrupt their reading, search for the verse and go back. 2) The ability to copy/paste for journaling. 3) App does not cater to visual learners like reflecting on the lyrics after it has been read. The written text page is too small for readers
4 ★ Edit: Not the most intuitive app in terms of selecting scripture to memorize or queuing it up (sometimes it likes to randomly queue verses or chapters you don't want it to, then plays it when you're done). It took a while, but I finally managed to figure out how to select verses to repeat on a Playlist for memorization. I am not a boomer and regularly use technology, and it should NOT have been that hard. That said, overall I like the reader/instrumental selection.
5 ★ I really love this app - it is a lot more flexible and easy to use for repeating passages than free apps. I enjoy the voice and version options. It was especially wonderful hearing a Kenyan accent!! I hope they will incorporate more non-American accents. Also, my only complaint is that I wish the sleep timer had an "At End of Scripture Range" option other than just times. The purchasing options seem very fair to me - especially if you use a podcast promo code.
4 ★ I really enjoyed well. I'm a delivery driver so I'm in my car a lot and it works great to be able to listen to the word. Two suggestions I have would be: a) make it stop playing when navigation speaks. I have to rewind often. And B) add NASB to the list of audio options. All in all, great app! I have already recommended it to several people
3 ★ I really like the app, but almost nothing is free so you have to buy it (tho no ads) and when I make a playlist I can't find it unless I'm adding something to it; there is no "my playlist." I love how you can change the voice/translation (not plain narration), background music, volume of each, and speed. I find this helps me to stay focuse and less stressed (I have stress pains & my attention span is horrible) while doing stuff like playing Minecraft, doing arts & craft, nature walks, & cooking.
2 ★ Neat concept with tools many of us have been waiting for, but still a lot missing and poor execution. Pretty ugly UI that doesn't manage all the options well. No option to cast to a smart speaker. Some audio is engaging but most seems to be monotone. Most everything is behind the paywall, so you'll only be blessed by this app if you have a lot of extra $$$$$
5 ★ One of best features of the app is to be able to make playlists for whatever you wish to study. I have playlists for each book of the Psalms and it is wonderful. One thing I would request be looked into by the team is a feature where the app could be used for alarms: set an early morning alarm and a selected chapter or study plan begins to play.
5 ★ Dwell App has great features. You have many readers to choose from, you can decide the rate at which you listen to the Word, you can create your own custom playlists. For ex: if you want a playlist w/ verses specifically about Love,Pride, Mercy you can create them. You also have the option of selecting a background music or noise from a given list to play along with the audio Bible. This app also keeps track of your listening time. This is the best Audio Bible App and is worth every penny!❤️
5 ★ Everything about the app is great! It's all pure Bible, and I would say that is my favorite thing about it. It doesn't really have many things that can potentially distract you like other bible apps. It makes it easy to find the specific things you want to look for. I love the multiple voice selection and the background sounds/music. I use it a lot while driving, and it has to be the best auditable bible out there. The only downside is the price. I wish it was cheaper.
5 ★ I love this app! It is so nice to have an audio Bible with multiple versions, voices, speeds, etc. all in one place. I often use it when I'm reading large sections of Scripture to keep me focused. The only thing that is a distraction for me is that all the voices I've tried so far seem to have a slight "halt" in their cadence of speech between phrases and verses. It often doesn't flow as smoothly as it would if I read it aloud myself. A small personal preference. Otherwise, I love it!
5 ★ I love that this app is nothing but BIBLE. No devotionals, no opinions of leaders - JUST BIBLE. As a Christian with ADHD, this is a game-changer. I have learned more about what the Bible really says from this app than I ever have reading on my own or listening to a devotional. I can listen to a book of the Bible, a learning plan, or themed playlist any time I need to. My only issue is that those of us who work or run a business could really use a "work" Playlist. I think that would be neat!
