Description
Please download the NETGEAR Nighthawk App for all NETGEAR WiFi routers [except WNDR3400, WNR2000 or older router models].
Please download the NETGEAR Orbi App for all Orbi WiFi Systems.
The NETGEAR genie app supports:

• WNDR3400, WNR2000 + other older router models

The NETGEAR genie app is an easy way to manage, monitor, and repair your home network--from the palm of your hand. While on your home network, the NETGEAR genie app allows you to access router features with your mobile device. You can access the following router settings using the NETGEAR genie app: wireless settings, network map, Parental Controls, guest access, traffic metering, MyMedia, and more.
• Easily control your home network through the genie dashboard
• Stream music and video files anywhere in your network from your smartphone or tablet
• Securely connect smart phones and tablets to your home wireless network with a QR code thanks to EZ Mobile Connect
• Get analytics about your WiFi home network using the WiFi Analytics feature
The NETGEAR genie app does not work if your mobile device is connected to the router’s guest network.
The NETGEAR genie only works when your mobile device is connected to a NETGEAR router that is in router mode, not in access point mode.
The NETGEAR genie app does not work with a wireless extender or repeater.
The NETGEAR genie app currently does not support IPv6. If IPV6 is enabled, logging in to the router using the genie app will fail.

1 ★ Absolutely terrible. You do have anyware near the level of control that your got compared to the web interface, and im not talking about advanced settings just the basics. Use the PC based app, its much better.
1 ★ Very unpleasant experience. Wouldn't recommend. Traffic meter, parent control and VPN are not working. Netgear said that this app is no longer supported, and we should upgrade to new nighthawk app, but it's not supporting D7000. No support from Netgear after purchasing their product. Very disappointed. No more Netgear products in the future. This is the last router I have purchased from them.
1 ★ Almost never works properly. Easier to log into the router the old fashioned way.
1 ★ What a disappointing app. Device list is empty when trying to login. PC App is much better, at least the Windows PC App can see my Router, Extender, Connected to Devices, etc. Android Mobile App seems to be very limited in what it can do, only good for WIFI Analytics. No good enough by any standard.
1 ★ Just bought a netgear router, told I had to use this to manage. Installation asks to access media and take audio and video! And still doesn't work. Can't connect to router for control, even though I was able to put in SSID and password to get internet access. Junk, Spyware, maybe more.

5 ★ Device functions exactly as instructions say it should and will, according to the instruction manual provided with, after purchase in-store. The app, " 'NETGEAR Genie' " assists the device with correct functioning and accuracy.
1 ★ SEEMS LIKE NETGEAR DOESN'T REALLY CARE, Not long ago that I bought the netgear nighthawk and I thought I'll supposed to use the nighthawk app, but NOOOOO THAT APP DOESN'T SUPPORT MY MODEL, AFTER SPENDING ON ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE WI-FI MODEMS AND THIS APP IT'S OUTDATED AND NETGEAR SAID THEY WON'T BE UPDATING IT ANYMORE... I FEEL SOOOOOOO UPSET, frequently stops working, don't let you pause or name the devices that are connected to the network
1 ★ Netgear, this is a joke. Last update was April 2019. Not all the devices on the network can be labeled or disabled. If you have a family and you want to restrict access or set times, this app isn't going to work. OpenDNS isn't a solution. Do your customers right by fixing this app.
2 ★ This app used to be great, and work just fine. However, now I am not even able to log in.
1 ★ Since last update, it is not showing the right details in app. 1. Not showing the names of network. 2. Not allowing the devices connected. 3. Not allowing me to set filtering level on each device because devices are not shown.
1 ★ Can't register a legitimately-purchased refurbished Wi-Fi Modem Router because it was previously registered. As a result, you can't use most of the app's features. @Netgear offers NO OPTION on their website for resolving the registration issue. Weak!
1 ★ That app worked great but then it just stopped working after the app had a update and now I can't do anything in the app any more can't even see my gateway cause it just stays on loading.. Netgear get your head out of your asses and please fix this problem
1 ★ This app is so bad that I'm considering buying a new router so that I don't have to use it. It crashes nearly everytime I open it.
1 ★ Never let me login. Entered login information and it just kept loading endlessly. So I give it one star because I can't use the app.
