Description
So Android Oreo added yet another restriction disallowing access to the CPU usage stats. Thus, CPU usages unfortunately won't work on devices with Android Oreo. I have released a beta version of the app accommodating the rooted Android Oreo devices where it should work just fine. Do post feedback or send me an email if the BETA version doesn't work on your rooted Oreo device. Thanks!

*** UPDATE regarding Active Processes monitor on Android Nougat and up ***
I have released a beta version of the app with Active Processes monitor working on devices with ROOT access. You'd need to become a beta tester in order to install it. It may be a bit buggy. Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!
*** END UPDATE ***
*** NOTE***
Some features of Simple System Monitor does not work properly with android version 6.0 and up because of the underlying system changes.
Also, as of Android Nougat, Active Processes tab will show only one app, Simple System Monitor itself. This is because Nougat has restricted access to /proc directory where information about running processes are retrieved from. Please bug Google about this issue instead of me :)
*** END NOTE***
Simple System Monitor, as the name suggests, is a clean and simple system monitoring app for your android device. It graphically shows usages of various system components.
Features:
• CPU usage and frequencies for each core
• Total CPU usage and average frequency
• CPU frequency graph for each core
• Time spent on each CPU frequency state
• GPU usage and frequency*
• RAM usage and ability to clear RAM
• Network activity
• Disk I/O activity (internal and SD card)
• Test disks' read/write speeds (internal or external)
• File browser with support for basic operations (copy, cut, delete)
• Cache cleaner (optionally requires ROOT)
• View list of active apps and processes and their CPU usage, RAM usage, network activity, PID and UID.
• Kill processes as ROOT (only works on rooted devices)**
• View temperatures of all of the thermal zones
• View battery health and temperature
• Ability to keep running in the background despite being swiped away from the recent tasks list
• Floating mode - shows system monitor data on a little floating window on top of other apps
• Dark UI theme
If you see "..." for one or more CPU frequencies under the CPU monitor graph, restarting the phone should solve the issue.
*Only Adreno GPUs are supported at the moment. Sometimes the GPU stat information may not be available/accessible in the kernel even if the device has Adreno GPU. In such case, "..." will be displayed instead of a frequency. If you don't see the GPU monitor, then your device's GPU is not supported.
**Using ROOT to kill processes is not recommended and should be used very cautiously. I do not hold any responsibility if something bad happens to your system or device because of it.
If you find a bug, please send me an email at dparajuliapps@gmail.com. Any feedback is much appreciated.

5 ★ This app is like Windows 10 task manager + resource monitor, with temperature monitor, I love it!
5 ★ This app works great on my old phone but sadly it doesn't have the permission to access system info anymore.
5 ★ useful app, coz i was really puzzled on what app that was keeping my cpu at 100%, this really helped a lot to find it.
5 ★ Well this App does all that I was looking to do (view CPU load by application) and actually offers more than I was expecting. The developer offers a link to "buy him a cup of coffee." I will be. (I suggest you first read the notes here to confirm OS version and system system compatibility before downloading. I did).
3 ★ For the short time I've used this app, it's OK... Unless I'm unaware, it would be nice to have a feature where one can not only clear the history of the graphs but why didn't you add in the option or even a shortcut to clear the CPU clock frequencies? it would be very nice to have that Until then, have a nice day and thank you fo ryour patience for reading. -15/01/19
5 ★ Very good app to get a brief overview of information about your phone viz. Temperature of various componenets like SOC, Battery, etc., RAM usage, Network usage, etc. Cache cleaner is a handy addition and a simple 5 star UI. ✌🏼
5 ★ Finally I have found the app that I have long been searching for. Thank you! With this app, you can see every single app that runs in your system. Find out which is hogging your resources. edit: Network activity page constantly shows an upload and download amount (around 60bytes) although the airplane mode is switched on. That's weird?!
2 ★ Does not show CPU usage even though Android version is 10. It gives a warning but that is for oreo, not Android 10. Also no Pop Up graph for CPU like it is for Ram usage etc.
5 ★ First of all thank you guys for making this apps. It has a lot of purpose on many other devices specially to me. When my device lags and i dont know what to kill app im the background processes it took me to format my phone always because of misinterpretation which lag causes my devices.. But i found this app. Just wow!! I can finally check what apps are causing my cpu boom!! So when my phones hitting up and laging. So simple no need to restart device or format. Just open this app check what apps are eating your cpu. Then manually kill that damn app. Boom best ever apps. No adds no lag no waste of time no waste of money. I salute you devs! Make more helpful!! Well support u
5 ★ I've only just installed this but I had to come back within minutes to rate it because it's so good! It's exactly what I wanted first time (which is rare) and it is so beautifully simple and clear while delivering multiple data points - a pleasure to use. Well done to the developer, I'd give 6 stars if I could ☺
3 ★ What happened to the floating CPU usage? It was literally the best part about this app. Was it due to Oreo that the setting was removed? Edit: I still have the CPU Frequencies and CPU Frequencies Times on a Galaxy S7, 8.0 Oreo. The chart is also moving. The only thing really missing is the floating CPU button on the top right. I had also checked this on my Galaxy S9+ Oreo 8.0, and both CPU tabs are still there except the floating option.
3 ★ Not for me. No CPU usage monitoring for each running application - this is why I needed a process monitor. The list of services keeps scrolling and changing as I view and disable individual services. No scroll bars to see how long the lists are. I'm not a fan of the simplistic graphs.
5 ★ Thank you Darshan for this little too I was able to catch a glitch ,as logicaly i can explain it no other way. catching app process that were used in dec31 1969,1971. I Will tell anyone reading this review ,what ever is happening with this "glitch " ive experinced with mutiple android phones ,I know its not Darshan app here doing it. His app just was able to let me discover this again. It might be a glitch with Factory resets. not sure. Thanx nice app. useful tool.
5 ★ Application is low weight and superb. Can you add PID wise ram usage.
5 ★ Rooted Oreo 8.1 on a old but still great Galaxy S2 i9100: works perfectly. Thank you Darshan!
