Ratings and Reviews

4 ★ Works well for me. The video feature is extremely easy for patients to use. Developers: PLEASE fix the (beta) video feature: in my use, the video images are reversed (left-right): my own image looks like I am looking at a mirror (left is on the right and vice versa), and so is the patient's image. This could lead to critical mistakes or at least terrible confusion in medical care! The behavior varies depending on platform of the patient (Android vs iOS).
4 ★ The upgrade to VOIP has greatly improved the experience; however it would be much better if the app simulated a phone by closing the touch screen (like your real phone does) when you put it up to your ear. Very frustrating to either (choose one): have your ear starting and stopping other functions of your phone randomly OR have to manually deploy your lock screen at the start of the call and the unlock again in order to hang up. Whose brilliant mistake was that?
4 ★ This is a really good app for work purposes. I would have given 5 stars except for the few times multiple calls needs to be made before a connection takes place (rare but still can be frustrating), and the fact when you want to just leave a VM, which is an option, it reverts to my own number which defeats the purpose of the work connected number.
3 ★ Does not have all functionality of the website. Unable to search for anything but other users. If I were to try to search for the residency navigator to use (which requires sign in for full access), I cannot do it. Using mobile browser instead requires sign in which automatically opens the app but simply to the homepage and not to page/article I was just viewing in the browser. 3 stars, however, for Dialer and Fax. Such great utilities!
3 ★ The recent update has ruined the app for phone call use. The ringer is extremely loud, despite volume adjustment. The keypad has lost the # and *, and the hang-up function is hindered. It is disappointing because I have been using this app for over a year, and will likely stop using it at this time. Addendum/response: turning off the internet use for calls was very helpful. I am increasing my rating and will continue to use the app. Thank you.
2 ★ Used to work acceptably well. But over the past few months, functionality has seriously deteriorated. As before, I get an email with a list of articles, I click on a title, my phone asks me if I want to open it with one of my browsers or Doximity. I choose Doximity and it opens a completely different window, like Job offers. I close that window and I'm at a series of article abstracts. I scroll through all ~20 of those, and not a single one is the article whose title I had clicked on.
1 ★ The dialer is not registering to iniate calls, the speaker does not come on The ringer must be faulty. If it rings at all, it gives cracked-up noisy sounds Most of the time does not ring out at all. Please check the speaker. And the whole functionality of this equipment's doximity app. It has only video connect, no phone only so one may switch to video if wants. Thanks for helping.
4 ★ As a solo practitioner, the app has been very useful for times when I cannot be in the office, enabling me to receive faxes, as well as make phone calls (which shows my office number on the caller id). The only issue I have encountered thus far is that I cannot go to a different app (such as my calendar) during a call without the call being disconnected.
4 ★ App works great being a medical assistant and making lots of calls. The touch sensitivity for pushing the numbers could use a little tweaking though. If you don't push just hard enough EXACTLY on the number, it won't register and since you can't touch anywhere in the number sequence to change it, you have to start over.
5 ★ I'm grateful for the assistance Doximity gave providers during the pandemic. It was an immense help in keeping contact with consumers. Edited: I appreciate Doximity's quick response! The app allows users to switch between VoIP and cellular services, to allow users to pick which service benefits them more. I hope they change the ring tone, as now I can't tell if I'm waiting for the phone to be connected or if it's ringing I have only used the trial version.
1 ★ Frustrating! The dialer either disconnects my cell internet despite having full bars or drops my patient calls after 1 minute, which seriously presents a risk to patient care. I've reached out before and was told "we're looking into it" and almost a year later there's no fix. I'm running the latest Android with the same error no matter how many times I reinstall or update. It used to work fine!
3 ★ Great app, I love that they added the scan telephone # to the android version, but it is really buggy overall. Lots of app crashing, dropped calls, and strange behavior. The iPhone version doesn't appear to have these issues, it seems like they wrote the app on the iPhone first and then ported it over to Android because it's really clunky.
5 ★ Great info- nailed my interests. Easy to navigate and stay connected. Wow, updating my review. LOVE the new dialer feature to send a follow up text after the call with follow up information. Makes my job so much easier. I work at the VA and this simplifies the after visit workload for me. Great for patients who don't have or check email. Kudos for the feature I didn't know I needed.
4 ★ Love the dialer, however it seems to have lost the ability to select it as a dialer app in android. I receive pages with patient phone numbers in a secure messaging app, and until recently I could tap on the number and select doximity to call it back, now it only offer the default dialer or Google voice. The secure messaging solution (which I have no control over) does not allow copy paste functionality, which handicaps calling patients back when on call.
5 ★ I've had a great experience with this app since transferring from face to face sessions due to COVID-19. I've only used the phone function to make calls so there are other functions I can't rate. As long as clients do not have call block for numbers assumed to be SPAM things work well. I would recommend telling people you plan to call using this app to disable that setting for the time the call is a scheduled.
