The Simple Calorie Counter is a simple, but effective way to track the calories you eat and drink throughout the day. If you need a simple counter without all the fluff, advertising, and Facebook integration, try this app.

To use, first open settings and set your daily calorie goal. You can also set whether this goal is a minimum goal or a maximum limit. Then, simply enter the name of the food or drink and the number of calories associated with it. The Simple Calorie Counter will keep track of it for you, and remember your items for easy input later.

There's also a simple widget that displays the number of calories you have left for the day before you reach your limit (or goal).

It doesn't get much simpler than that!

5 ★ nice and simple and free. why should people have to pay to be healthy?!! thank you. you set how many calories you want to eat/don't go over. and long in everything you eat throughout the day. it will let you know when your getting closer to the limit.

5 ★ Everyone says "it's too simple". Except no, it's perfect. Not only does it add daily total for you, it remembers the meals with smart technology. Congrats, this app is perfect.

5 ★ I looked everywhere for a simple calorie tracker. I have been writing my calories down for years and adding them up. I know the caloric value of most of the foods I eat and this is so handy to be able to add odd amounts such as one bite of something. I don't have time to search for a food and then select the amount...I just want to add the calories and be done. I am very happy to have found this app!!

4 ★ It's a pretty good app. I like its simplicity and I use it along with MFP to understand my calorie numbers better. I would suggest they add something to also tell you how many you have remaining in the app itself, rather than a widget. Other than that it's a pretty solid app. I also like that you can set any calorie limit you want, unlike most apps that stop you from going lower at 1200

5 ★ Use this every day as a simple way of adding up my calorie intake. App remembers everything you enter which saves time if you eat similar items and amounts over the days, weeks and months. Downside is that if you enter something incorrectly and edit it then BOTH entries stay in the drop-down list. Not yet been able to work out whether the incorrect entry can be deleted from the list!! Still does exactly what I want.

5 ★ Use it everyday. MyFitnessPal sucks because it's so bloated. I just wish they implemented a suggestion box when I continuously eat the same things. Nothing too crazy though, I like the simplicity

4 ★ I've been using this app for 2 years and it has helped me build muscle and lose over 25kg of fat so far. I prefer this app over MFP because of its simplicity. Adding in macro tracking would make my life a lot easier as I've been manually totalling the macros all this time. A barcode scanning option would also be fantastic. If you are only concerned about total calories or you are happy to calculate total macros yourself, I highly recommend this app.

5 ★ Nice and simple without the complex fuss of other calorie tracking apps. Thank you! It would be useful if it could add multiples of a single item such as 3x crackers if you previously told it 1 cracker is 20 calories. The axis of the chart is difficult to read so that could be improved or perhaps allow the user to customise the colours.

5 ★ Just what I was looking for. Prefer over other calorie trackers as it allows for simple custom tracking.

5 ★ Perfect and Simple, all of the other apps we're really discouraging to me just because that seems like a competition of its own. This app is very simple and easy to use, (Edit) Just swipe left to edit your previous days, I literally just found this out after like 2 weeks.

5 ★ The simplest calorie counter. No ads. No chuffa. Doesn't micro-manage your exercise or calories, though you can add in exercise if you wanted as a negative value. You need to look up the calories at first, but previous entries are saved so it gets easier, especially if you eat the same meals. You can set a calorie goal as a minimum or maximum.

5 ★ Exactly what I'm looking for! Not those other bullsh apps that ask you to subscribe for 30 a month, get outta here and make it hard to add a simple fing meal. I wouldnt mind a simple ad on the bottom if that helps you out, thanks.

5 ★ This is a wonderful application for daily calorie tracking. No annoying ads. No nagging. No monthly subscription. No zillions of unneeded features. Just simple tracking and accountability. You will need to look up calorie counts for various foods but it becomes easy. A great feature is that previous entries are remembered and are recalled during each new entry so that the process is super easy if you eat many of the same foods. And the graph is very helpful in keeping you focused. Thanks guys! :)

5 ★ Just what I needed - no ads, no silly account to sign up for, no faff. And I can set a minimum to help me gain weight - most others are set up for losing weight.
