To access advanced features of the Wi-Fi System, you should use the web interface by going to http://covr.local./ or http://dlinkrouter.local./ from a computer or mobile device connected to the system.

D-Link Wi-Fi 1.4.8 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to access approximate location.
Allows an app to access precise location.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows applications to change network connectivity state.
Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Required to be able to access the camera device.

1 ★ This app is useless. It offers little to no functions and what it does offer is hit and miss. I am using a COVR-X 1873 with ethernet backhaul between the clients (extenders) and the master COVR (the one connected to the internet via the WAN port). In every other mesh system or wifi access point I have used, connecting an ethernet cable causes the device to preferentially use ethernet as the backhaul channel, as ethernet is more reliable and this eases congestion on the wifi which boosts client access speeds/bandwidth. But not these, oh no - it's a dark art with these things - there is a specific sequence of events that you have to follow to get a COVR extender to activate the ethernet backhaul to the COVR master - and it is almost certain that you will not accidently stumble across this sequence. Also the sequence is not included in any of the documentation available from D-link. I managed to get it working only because I contacted their chat support and together with a D-link support person we troubleshooted the issue in real time - to be fair, D-link support has been good. Finally - it wouldn't be so bad if this was the only issue but alas the firmware supplied on these things is CLEALRY NOT PRODUCTION ready. hardware wise they are nice looking, and pump out a strong signal but the FW instability and lack of any real controls in the GUI makes me wish I hadn't bought them.

4 ★ Very convenient app, great at walkinn me through the process and getting me in control. Only issue is some of the steps were a little confusing, one step had me looking for a power button that doesn't exist lol
5 ★ Worked fine except for "operator error!" I made a typo in the password for my network and had to reset this D-Link device and begin again. Things seem to be working fine now. I'm anxious to see how much additional wi-fi coverage I enjoy.
1 ★ Dlink should not remove the manual option for selecting 2.4GHz or 5GHz. It say it's smart technology will select the best option but for me, it always seems to select 2 4GHz. I wish I knew this before my return window closed cuz it's a deal breaker for me. The App is also limited in features and not for advanced users.
1 ★ Terrible,. Dir 882 update firmware 1.04 to 1.20, then came up with another update available click to upgrade was somehow stuck and loss my router - red light on only, no boot, bricked, pushed factory reset, the same - loss my expensive router that was working fine before update. Very unhappy and feel guilty of updating with this application.

1 ★ Can't get into the app. I just keeps saying I need to turn off my cellular connection. Other apps like this I've used had no problems. I just had to connect to the wifi of the router or extender, this app didn't move forward when.i connected to the routers wifi. Garbage app.
