Description
This DK Visual Dictionary app is the perfect companion to your visual dictionary. For each language, over 7,000 words and phrases are spoken in both English and the language of the title. All words are from the books and are spoken by native speakers. Simply download the free app, then use your copy of the book to fully access all the audio.
This clear, comprehensive and easy-to-use app contains all the content from each Bilingual Visual Dictionary. Just like the book, the vocabulary is arranged thematically, with subjects including shopping, food and drink, study, work, travel and transport, health and appearance, sport and leisure, technology, and the home. Search for the page you want, tap on any word to listen to it being spoken, scroll up and down the word lists for each topic, and swipe left or right to go to the next or previous page.

1 ★ It doesn't work at all, I was able to download the app, and then scan the book and that's it. No audio for words.
1 ★ Bar code scanner doesnt work, typing the ispn doesnt work. Cant do anything in the app and theres no support options

5 ★ This is a great little app to accompany my Spanish English dictionary. Was a little put off by the many low ratings but the app is working very well on my cheap samsung phone. Scanning the bar code was ok, just had to tilt the phone a little to get it in focus. Downloading the Spanish language audio was fine. It's easy to look up a page and the words are spoken clearly.
4 ★ Worked 1st time, no problems..
1 ★ I touched download audio files and nothing happened. This may turn out to be a useful dictionary but forget the audio part of it. The app simply doesn't work.
4 ★ Great. I have the Arabic-English version of this dictionary, and the app exceeds expectations. I wasn't initially aware there was even an app for this. Scanning barcode was a bit buggy , I had to track down the correct barcode then enter manually because it was not reading the code from my book, but otherwise very functional app and does exactly what i need it to do - keep track of words, by way of favorites/starring them, as I learn them in the physical book. Audio downloaded and works well.
5 ★ I am shocked at the reviews for this. I think this is AWESOME. I bought the book as a visual way to remember and learn and then found the app. Such a great way to learn as I can try reading words myself and then get it read out to me to check. If you want an app, download an app as there is plenty around. This is an awesome supplement for the book! Well done DK!
4 ★ Great app! It would be amazing if you could add a setting so that we can remove the English pronunciation (especially for languages like Arabic, Hindi, Russian, with different alphabets). It is so close that I can't ignore it and I automatically read the pronunciation instead of trying to read the Arabic word first. Thank you in advance!
2 ★ Please please please allow searching by word. I downloaded the app version so I wouldn't need to carry the book everywhere, but it is pretty useless without being able to search by the word, since I don't have the page numbers memorized - and flipping page by page on the app takes forever. At the very least offer an index!
3 ★ The book is great. The app, not so much. Please sort the words as they appear in the book not by A to Z. It's so frustrating to find the words that I'm listening to in the book with this bad sorting. Please fix this. otherwise the pronunciation sounds amazing.
4 ★ Hoping this will be an essential addition to my learning Portuguese. One ask - is it possible to add the option to move the app and data away from Internal storage. There's always limited space and the app is BIG! I got an extra memory card for my phone just so I had more room - Samsung Galaxy S5 atm.
