3 ★ It would be nice if past recipes went into a different section......having to scroll through old recipes and recipes for dinners that have not been sent to me yet to get to this weeks recipes. As far as the food goes it's always fresh, the recipes are easy to follow, the meal sizes are perfect, and a great price, loving not having to shop for dinner anymore.
2 ★ The app is fine - simple to use. Unfortunately I should've read reviews about Dinnerly before I wasted 3 weeks of meals. Most of the meals were boring, tasteless and could've done with ALOT more veggies or ingredients. If you're in need of quick meals and don't really care about taste then give it a go. Otherwise I'd recommend Hello Fresh - we are happy to pay extra for the quality.
1 ★ There's a reason this meal subscription is so much cheaper than others: they put a whole lot less work and care into it. The portion sizes vary wildly, at least one ingredient was missing from each box, one box wasn't delivered at all. The instructions assume a lot of knowledge and expect specific pans that some people may not have. You get what you pay for and, in this case, it's not enough.
2 ★ App is awkward to use. Crucial information is not in convenient places. Why are the ingredients I need to provide all the way at the bottom and not with the other ingredients? Why are the receipes in text paragraphs instead of easier to read dot points? Why do the "step" numbers take up half my screen? This design is useless! (But dinnerly as a meal service is good otherwise)
4 ★ We like it. Tried Hello Fresh, which is great just expensive. Dinnerly is much more affordable. Having a printed recipe would be helpful, though it could add to the costs.
3 ★ So glad they have an app now instead of only browser based access. Super easy to move meals around or substitute. However, recipes often show up with missing or wrong ingredients.
5 ★ I'm cooking again. I used to cook often, but life somehow got in the way. On my 5th box now, love that I skip the store, only get the portion if ingredients I need (so no waste), everything has been fresh, good quality. Yes, sometimes I add some spices or make a substitution here & there, but I like to cook. The meals would be fine if you are just learning & follow the steps.
4 ★ Simple to cook good food. Definitely doesn't look like enough food when you first unpack it, but it cooks up to be completely plenty. Inexpensive and easy to use. Very simple to skip orders if you wanna alternate weeks. Only thing is I wish there was a way to send the recipes to someone else. I order the box, but most often my partner cooks. I wish their was a way to send him the recipe other than individual screen shots.
5 ★ Organization of recipes could be better, but the food is freaking fantastic and affordable!
5 ★ Team was quick to respond an issue where the app asserted I was offline. Everything is running smoothly now, thanks! Weekly box/recipe selection UI is a bit different to the mobile web app, but offers more info (e.g. days left to edit order) and is still easy to navigate. Big fan of the "Recipes" section, where you browse a large catalogue, filter by taste profile and save your favourites. Super happy with my Dinnerly experience so far!
5 ★ If you ever found yourself not cooking cause you didn't know recipes and wasn't sure what you would even want to try I highly recommend dinnerly I have learned a ton of recipes and enjoyed most of what I got I have been enjoying it basically for cooking lessons
4 ★ Really enjoyed our Dinnerly experience minus the fact there isnt enough room for instructions and it's been sent to my neighbors everytime. Also, I would prefer to have the recipe cards with the meal because I dont like using my phone, dont have access to a printer and it printed 2 pages each. Never gotten spoiled or rotten food. The meals weve had so far have been delish.
5 ★ Have been using this service for months. Never any issues. Lots of menu items. We do the two person menu and typically we have enough left over for my husband to have lunch the next day. Even during the pandemic delivery has been consistent and on time
1 ★ Ingredients not fresh (my basil was slimy). The meat is good, but they dont even include recipe cards or any inventory sheet. The food is bland and needs significant spice additions to make it worthy for flavor.
5 ★ Very easy, affordable food. Super quick to do after work. Definitely cheaper than buying groceries.
